Sad? No.

I think the word you're looking for would be PATHETIC.

Then again, who am I to talk? (glances at post count)

 :D

It is sad if that is what you choose to feel about this fact. Otherwise, there is no emotional context required, as it is merely a number. But if feeling sad is what fulfills your relationship with reality, then it is not really a bad thing.

No. I was a computer science major. I am on medical leave from work, and have been for quite a few months now. This has left me lots of time to just think and think and think. All of you are the victims of that thinking . . .

I was tested as part of the hiring process over 6 years ago. I haven't been tested since. I am unconcerned with that, and it isn't any issue to me. Personally, I think any kind of mandatory drug testing is a violation of our collective dignity and is an insult to those ideals we hold most dear in America. Mandatory drug testing is assuming guilt ahead of innocence. That just isn't right. I am appalled by how willing we have become to surrender our freedoms and dignity out of fear and the actions of a few.

America managed to survive without drug testing for a long time. Why have we allowed ourselves to be duped into believing this testing is necessary?

We have a different kind of drug test in Canada...

Question 1:
Which of the following is illegal to be caught with small quantities on the street with...
a) Pot
b) Crack
c) Meth
d) Pigs Blood
e) None of the Above

Question 3:
The correct way to roll a joint is...

Question 52:
How baked are you right now?

Question 75:
You're running really fast through a forest, look at the trees wizz by you, faster, oh crap! the cops are after you, run faster! The trees are starting to blur... etc.

If you have nothing better to do, might as well waste time here.

I don't have a problem with drug testing. Do I think everyone should be tested? No. But there are cases and times when it's logical and correct.

Should the 15yr old working the counter at McDonald's be tested? No, hell, I'd probably need many drugs to get away from the drudgery of a service industry job. :) But should the bus driver be tested? The doctor? The cop? Sure. They are in positions of responsibility, and they need to 'prove' that they deserve and can maintain that responsibility.

Sure, it's a minor hit to civil liberties, but unfortunately the world is a real place, not idealic, and sometimes you have to do what's neccessary for the good in a particular situation.

Anyways....to answer the original question, yes KV you do spend too much time here. As do I.

I've been visiting the Cinescape site for a few years now and only have just recently (within the past year) started making comments on the Cinescape website. now i have taken the next step and have signed up today for the first time to be a part of the message boards... don't feel bad, I'm only 1,000 posts or so behind you but I'll be there soon.

And as kaeos stated '- it's what you do with it that counts.'
