I love this teaser. You REALLY got his eyes down to a tee. They look like a wild storm, the fizzled bubble reaction in a green elixer test tube and just full of chaos. I also like the nice little inverted Joker Cards. I love it.
Oh and by the way I completely understand about the smiling bit lol, the reason is because of the strange muscular action of the eyes squinting muscles and the wide smile muscles being insync with each other.
