Film Of The Week: "Frailty"

This movie is truly an original, and Bill Paxton's direction is inspired. I was surprised at how little attention this movie drew at the time of its release. If you haven't seen it, do so and you'll be glad.

I love this movie. Along with "25th Hour", my fave of 2002. It's just got a great, creepy vibe, and makes excellent use of its low budget.

I particularly love the developments in the last ten minutes. It gives you just enough hints (such as McConaughey's not wanting to come into contact with Powers Boothe's character) to get you looking in the wrong direction. Great stuff.

Wow, I caught this a long time ago on cable, and I do remember it was pretty damn good, but now I can't remember exactly how the movie played out. :)

Gonna have to see if it's on cable again soon.
