Whoa...I feel like I just dropped acid, looking at that background.

Other then the deep-tissue ice cream headache I get from looking at it, I'd have to say I really like it.

Beautiful pic Lance. I do love a nice psychadelic spin-out - and this fractal background of yours delivers. Whoah! Headspinnage.
Metron is a cool character and this piece does his lazy genius sitten-in-his-chair-all-day-ass justice. His face and costume look real smooth, and the boom tube effect is interesting - I think it might be better if it were extending from the same dimensions as the chair (ie- bigger) - but it sells the action just fine as is. The background is kickass. I'm a big fan of the Mandelbrot set personally. Cool to see I'm not alone! And it makes for a cool-lookin' hyperspace effect too.
Great pic Pijster. And Kudos on Front Page man!

Cheers, guys. My deepest thanks to all of you for your generous comments... and thank you mods, for the front page!

Thanks, buddy. I was trying to go in a different direction on this background. I'm glad you like it :)

I'm glad you like it too, Shade... sorry about that headache though... try a warm towel on your forehead and wearing sunglasses when you look at it. That should help... only a little though.

Ummm... is that good weird or bad weird?

 Yeah, gotta make sure I give the DC characters equal time! Alright, a man who knows his fractals! You surprise me yet again, Dave! Yeah, I think that's probably quite good advise to zoom the fractals a little more for more of that cylindrical boom effect. Also, you reminded me that I forgot to include a couple of programs I used in making this in my notes... Illustrator for creating design templates for Metron's costume and the Mobius Chair control panels (later reworked in Photoshop and Bryce) and Kai's Power Tools (v3) Fractal Explorer for the predominant part of the background. Cheers for the congrats and most kind review!
