That's pretty damn cool man!

Glad that's oly a test though, watch when the hands pop out of the arms. Where exactly where those hands being stored? There is empty space behind the wrists.

Yeah, yeah, I'm nitpicking, but I wanna see this movie blow away my expectations. I've been waiting 20 years for this movie.

That was a pretty sweet test, though. The truck was definitely photoreal.
K-dawg (I'm so word), I agree with you about the hands, but still way cool.

Aww, crap, you're both K-dawgs. Eff me naked with a spoon.

That test is definitely much better than the fake one that was circulating around the net a few months ago. Very cool. :D

I would have liked if they put in that ratcheting sound from the original cartoons.

It was actually created by someone unrelated to the movie, but that person should be hired IMMEDIATELY!!!! If the movie looks anything like this it's gonna rock!

I just showed this to my 7 and 8 year-olds. they flipped out!

Even Lady K was impressed. This could be a very cool movie.

Occasionally, I forget that you've reproduced. Maybe this thread should be incorporated into the "what scares you" thread in the horror forum. :)

Be afraid Jake. One day our children could meet on the battlefield. "Who's parents were more deranged?" will be the battle cry......:D

Oh, my kids'll win that one pants down, man. Er..my pants, not theirs. They're good kids. You know..."do as I say, not as I do" and all that.

New Citreon C4 advert is out in the UK featuring everyone's favourite transforming robot. Check it out here:

Wow is all I have to say

I was gonna say that the CGI test was weak compared to the new Citroen adverts. The first one, with the dancing robot, was way beyond the supposed CGI test.

And the anticipation continues to build.... (http://www.transformersmovie.com/)

:D

I must say that the countdown timer is absolute genius. And the whole eye thing is amazing, it looks WAY darker than I was anticipating. I'll be the first to admit I was expecting a clusterfuck of Thunderbirds proportions here.

AICN scored with a pic of Bumblebee in mid-transform.

(BTW, the pic is linked to my photobucket account, so it shouldn't be going anywhere )

Are practicals really the most efficient way to go on this? It seems as though transforming alone would be a major task to accomplish let alone any sort of motion that's convincing enough. Not to mention that each one has got to cost in the hundreds of thousands (if not low millions) of dollars to produce.

hmm not bad, too bad it's fake though.

Dude, I am so absolutely stoked about this project. You should see the abuse I'm getting at youtube.com for outing all the people with fake footage. I got called a n00b for complaining about Optimus Primes magical appearing hands, "Dumbass, Optimus Prime is a truck". Glad I had that pointed out to me :smirk:
I can see the teasers being released in pairs by the way. The one up just now ends with the Autobot logo, betcha the next one ends with the Decepticon logo.

since someone doesn't want lots of new threads on the same subject......

XtraMSN (http://xtramsn.co.nz/entertainment/0,,12252-6029525-300,00.html) has a nice little on set video of the filming with a few of the movies's stars. Check it out

Just wanted to let Deacon know that I still haven't forgotten our bet. When this comes out, if it's at all viable (and not a Robot Jox rip-off), you've got a dinner coming your way. Or wait. Has it been ten years?

Heh. I'd forgotten all about it; now that you've reminded me, though, it was a steak dinner. And, uh, first class air fare to the States. And a Ferrari, I think. I can't remember all the details.

Just can't summon enthusiasm for this movie. Never bought the toys, never watched the cartoon... so now I just can't get that excited about a Michael Bay film about robots that turn into vehicles.

But they're robots! And they turn into cars and planes!

What's not to get excited about?

At least it's not the GoBots.

Okay...I'll stop the sarcasm now.

Why's everyone looking at me like that?

That's just because you're a godless Brit.

All us hard-working, 'merican saints are drooling for...a Michael Bay film about robots that turn into vehicles.

You know, when you say it, it just doesn't sound as interesting.

And I don't know how you can fault the man who brought us the video for Lionel Richie's "Do It To Me".
