Okay, if you haven't seen the finale of Day Five, read no further. Stop whatever you're doing and GO WATCH IT!

Done now? Okay, so what do you think is going to happen in Day Six? When last seen, Jack had been captured by the Chinese and put on a slow boat to China. So what will his next bad day entail? Escaping from China? After that, when he returns to the US? Something else entirely different?
Personally, I think the escape from China wouldn't make for a great season: first of all, in real-time he couldn't get very far, so you could only tell part of the story; second, it would be too simple a plot; and third, it would be really hard to use any of the past seasons' regulars (unless you had a plot where they were working to free him at the same time, and that seems far-fetched). I'm guessing (hoping) that next season begins with Jack's return, and he's discovered some connection between the Chinese and the cabal that was controlling Logan. From season 4, we know that one of the terrorists in that plot was affiliated with the Chinese. From season 5, we know that Logan's cabal started planning events 18 months prior--the same time as season 4's terrorist plot. So there's a strong possibility there's a connection somewhere; Jack knows there are more conspirators; and while he's with the Chinese he may discover a clue.
There's been talk of a "24" feature film to be made after next season. I'm not sure if it will also be "real-time" (two hours), or 24 hours condensed into a feature, or any amount of time. But it seems to me Jack's escape from China would be just right for a feature-length film. Perhaps season six will start after he's made his escape, leaving the escape to be shown in the upcoming feature. Or it could be something else entirely. :dunno: What do you all think?
