Done now? Okay, so what do you think is going to happen in Day Six? When last seen, Jack had been captured by the Chinese and put on a slow boat to China. So what will his next bad day entail? Escaping from China? After that, when he returns to the US? Something else entirely different?

Personally, I think the escape from China wouldn't make for a great season: first of all, in real-time he couldn't get very far, so you could only tell part of the story; second, it would be too simple a plot; and third, it would be really hard to use any of the past seasons' regulars (unless you had a plot where they were working to free him at the same time, and that seems far-fetched). I'm guessing (hoping) that next season begins with Jack's return, and he's discovered some connection between the Chinese and the cabal that was controlling Logan. From season 4, we know that one of the terrorists in that plot was affiliated with the Chinese. From season 5, we know that Logan's cabal started planning events 18 months prior--the same time as season 4's terrorist plot. So there's a strong possibility there's a connection somewhere; Jack knows there are more conspirators; and while he's with the Chinese he may discover a clue.

There's been talk of a "24" feature film to be made after next season. I'm not sure if it will also be "real-time" (two hours), or 24 hours condensed into a feature, or any amount of time. But it seems to me Jack's escape from China would be just right for a feature-length film. Perhaps season six will start after he's made his escape, leaving the escape to be shown in the upcoming feature. Or it could be something else entirely. :dunno: What do you all think?

Jack Bauer......"The Manchurian Candidate"! He's too valuable to kill...hmmm...I'm sensing brainwashing and a return to the U.S. as a double agent. Goodness knows, CTU would let him in the front door, no questions asked.

The producers will have to be careful, though. Don't want to piss off the country we owe our current existence to...ahem. I can see the Chinese government, demanding a disclaimer.

They're going to have to do something a little different than what we've already been given. Perhaps a more personal/intimate season. I'd like to see a good revenge season, Jack as a true rogue agent.

And what's with introducing Chloe's ex-husband in the last hour? New character? Will he play some part? Has he played a part already, we know nothing of??

Who knows. The only thing I DO know is, 8 months is a long time to wait for my Jack Bauer fix!

OH...one gripe...I guess love turns you stupid and careless, because why would Kim be calling on THAT phone?? She would have called CTU to find out about Jack and they would have just patched her through on a cell. Audrey's cell, probably.

Okay. MY thoughts run along the lines of CTU and Homeland Security
obtaining information from their secret agents in Asia that Jack Bauer was captured by China, and since Jack's so valuable due to his knowledge of secret service operations within US Gov, there might be a rescue operation
to get Jack out. What I'm curious about is-

What information WILL they get out of Jack if anything?
Will they use him as a bargaining chip with the US for their political advantages?
Will CTU realize the Chinese have him after all?
Will Jack ever receive the recognition due to him for all his service
performed for this country?
Will Aaron Pierce hookup with Martha?
Will Bill Buchanan hookup with Karen?
Will Chloe get pregnant?
Will Chase ever return?
Will Kim finally get eaten by that mountain lion?
