I came across this site (http://www.270towin.com/), and the social studies geek in me went nuts. Go to the year 1948 and see Dewey not even being close to winning. Go the the year 1972 and tell me why Nixon was so paranoid about losing.
The best is this. Go to the year 2008, choose the "2004 View", change Maryland to a red state and Florida to a blue state, and think about how the country and media would go ape ****. You thought 2000 was bad? This scenerio would require the House of Representatives! :D
