Since I'm seeing this tonight, I thought I'd start a couple of threads. This thread is for reviews of the movie without giving anything away.
Spoiler free.

Okay, just got back from seeing it, and it was pretty decent. It was way better than X2, but there was still too much story crammed in so everything moved at a breakneck pace. It's an action movie without any exposition. As my friend said, "It's a lot less talky-talky, kissy-kissy, and a lot more action."
There you have it.
Rating: full price ticket for the first viewing, bargain matinee for the second.
P.S. Don't be a dummy and leave when the credits roll, or you'll miss one of the biggest scenes in the movie at the very end of the credits.

I agree - an action movie with no exposition. But in my opinion, that's exactly what makes X3 completely not as good as the first 2 movies.

Well, if you look at X3 as a stand alone movie, then the lack of exposition is just wrong. However, if you look at it as the final chapter in a loose trilogy, then this is the chapter where everything comes to a head and the audience should know enough to not need too much exposition. What this film lacked was depth. I wouldn't have minded the lack of exposition if there had been more depth with what we did have. I enjoyed it though.

Yeah, I agree with you on that actually. Depth was the bigger issue here. Although more exposition on the 'big issue' (code for....) and how it worked should've been given - I'm still a bit confused about that.

AHHH!
I loved it they had a lot of emotions in it but the rest of the film rocks I have a Question Where is Night Crawler? I was waiting to see what kind of butt kicking moves he would bring to the ring.

From what I read (and before Singer dropped out) it had been decided that Night Crawler would not be back. Evidentally, he and Singer did not get along at all during the filming of X2 and it was agree he would not be back.
That is the second actor (Ray Park from Xmen1) who sort of had bad things to say about Singer. However, the the time Singer was off, most of the preproduction and general direction of the script was done.
I too would have liked to see him in at least a cameo, I don't think he will ever be back at all. If I had a bad experience as an actor I might not want to return either. It's a shame because by far he was my second favorite character behind Wolverine.
