The Ultimate Weapon

I was watching the Discovery Military channel and they were talking about weapons of the future. That got me to thinking what would be the ultimate weapon, beyond which no other weapon would matter or be necessary. So, I'd like to hear everyone's ideas on that.

My thoughts are that the ultimate weapon could be one that works simply to change the minds of all your enemies so they are, *POOF*, all of a sudden . . . ON YOUR SIDE! No more enemy, no one killed, everybody happy! That's MY idea of an ultimate weapon! :)

Nice idea, but would it really work ? Any concept of MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) as a deterrent because of the horror of the consequences would simply be replaced with MAI (Mutually Assured Indecieveness) if two powers faced each other with such weapons.

And besides, it would only be a matter of time before they fell into the wrong hands, like Star Wars geeks using it to convince everyone that Episode I was actually really good.
