Hmmm, surprised no one posted about this yet. According to his blog, Joss is off the film. (Which has since been repeated at newsarama, comicon/pulse and the other comics news sites.) The post's at http://whedonesque.com/comments/12385#more .
I admit I had some doubt as to whether Whedon could pull it off, but I was at least cautiously optimistic. It'll depend on who else they turn to, but somehow, I have even more doubts about anyone else managing it, unless they get George Perez or someone to write it (which they won't, obviously)... WW's a very easy character to screw up and I keep getting Catwoman flashbacks... so, this is not good news IMO.
Thoughts?
