I really don't know what else to say about it other than I'm not surprised. Then again, I wouldn't have been surprised if Mitch had won. The Landrieu's have a huge history with NOLA and New Orleanians like their history.

Well, I can't say I'm surprised. BUT, the big test will be post election, especially the next couple of hurricane seasons in his next term.

I for one am totally surprise. I really thought Mitch would win and wished he did. Ray and Gov. Blancher did a piss poor job, complete lack of leadership, knowledge, and direction. :angry They both should be gone....but hey, that's me. Thumbs-up Norleans, you get what you voted for.

I think part of the reason that Nagin was re-elected was that Mitch is tainted as well. His sister is Mary Landrieu and people have as many problems with her as they do with Nagin.

Politics in the state of Louisiana in general and state politics in particular have been so corrupt for so long (the state STILL lives in the shadow of Huey Long, people), I'm surprised it plays into anyone's decision.
