View Full Version : Return of the STAR WARS Movie Quote Game

Feels like as good of time as any to bring this game back. You know the rules, any quote from Episodes I thru VI. You have to know which character said the quote, who the quote was said to, and which movie the quote was in for your answer to be correct. Then you leave a quote for others to guess. I'll get the nerd ball rolling......

"Did you hear that?'

Bokchoi Cowboy

In ESB when the Falcon is hiding inside the tunnel that turns out to be the giant space worm, at the point when Han, Chewie, and Leia are outside the ship trying to clean off the mynocks, Han asks that just before testing the ground by shooting his blaster at it....

southpaw
01-25-2006, 05:37 PM
Good guess Cowboy, but in that scene just before Han blasts into "the ground" he says "wait a minute". (God, I'm a geek for knowing that) keep guessing!

KingVoyeur

Luke Skywalker in ANH in the garbage compactor?

southpaw
01-25-2006, 08:30 PM
Right movie King V, wrong characters. Keep guessing you'll get it.

KingVoyeur
01-25-2006, 09:12 PM
Hehe did I at least get the right scene?

Space Tycoon

Right movie King V, wrong characters. Keep guessing you'll get it.
It's one of those two stormtroopers bullshittin' each other during Kenobi's shield generator deactivation scene:

"You seen that new Beechee 16?"

"Yeah, some of the guys been telling me about it, they say it's quite the thing to see."

Obi-Wan does something.

"Did you hear that?"

"It's nothing, some outgassing."

This was the only time in the entire series that the English language was seen in printed form. Every other time some invented characters were shown.

southpaw
01-26-2006, 07:48 PM
Nope, sorry Spacey the Trooper says "what was that?" in that scene. Good guess though. It's the very first line in ANH. C-3PO to R2......"Did you hear that? They shut down the main reactor." Ok, here is a better one......

"All too easy."

Good luck!:D

Bah! Darth Vader after he thought he had knocked Luke into the Carbon Freeze unit.

Btw, am I the only one who thought that freezing receptacle looked EXTREMELY painful?! There were all kinds of poky metallic things sticking out of everywhere. Looks like if you fell into that thing, why, you'd gore your testes or something.

Ouch.

Sgt. Awesome
01-27-2006, 11:31 PM
I think goring ones testies would be the least of my worries if Darth Vader pushed me in a hole.

Oh right I forgot I'm supposed to leave one.

"Well that's not it, bring me the hydro-spanners!"

SinisterPryde
01-30-2006, 01:52 PM
That would be Han, yelling to Chewie as he's trying to fix the hyper drive just before the Falcon is hit by the first meteor in Episode V.

Let's see here...

"Evacuate in our moment of triumph?"

Sgt. Awesome
01-30-2006, 03:57 PM
Easy,

Tarkin to an aid when they are almost about to get blown up by Luke.

"Surely he must be dead by now. "

BeauButabi
01-30-2006, 04:05 PM
Tarkin again to Vader in ANH.

"I feel cold."

southpaw
01-30-2006, 07:26 PM
"I feel cold."

Anakin answering Yoda in front of the council in Episode I. Good one.

Here is another......

"What's the situation, Captain?"

BeauButabi
01-30-2006, 07:40 PM
Actually I was going for Luke on Degobah in ESB, before he goes into the cave, but it doesn't matter. I've seen Episode I only 2 or 3 times, so I didn't realize it was in there too. You got me stumped with your new quote.

Malenko
01-31-2006, 11:59 AM
"What's the situation, Captain"

Not 100% sure, but isn't that Vader to an imperail officer in VI when Han and the gang are trying to get clearance to land on Endor

southpaw
01-31-2006, 03:46 PM
Good guess Malenko, but no.

HINT: This is a quote from a prequel.

southpaw
02-04-2006, 08:25 AM
"What's the situation, Captain?"

The answer was General Grievous to a droid at the start of REVENGE OF THE SITH.

Here is an easy one........

"Aren't you alittle short for a stormtrooper?"

Sgt. Awesome
02-04-2006, 02:38 PM
Yeah...

Dark Vader when he questions a new recruit.

I'm kidding.

Leia to Luke when she first sees him enter her cell.

"Yeeehaw!"

southpaw
02-05-2006, 08:58 PM
"Yeeehaw!"

Han to Luke and whoever is listening after clearing the way for him in ANH.

OR BO to LUKE in every Dukes of Hazzard episode EVER.

If I'm right here is my quote......

" I guess I should knock I suppose."

Rael
02-06-2006, 07:51 PM
That would be C3PO T THE DOORS OF jABBA'S PALACE.

Okay, here is my quote: "Use the force luke" Just kidding.

Seriously though; "Stay on target."

Sgt. Awesome
02-06-2006, 10:05 PM
I know the scene... I know what happens... nerd sense (and the complete Decipher Gold Squadron) don't fail me now...

It's not Gold leader... (Dutch) It's not his wingman... Gold 2... it's... the third pilot in that flight group...

Pops.

Pops (gold 5) to Dutch (gold leader)

I did have to consult my Star Wars cards...

"Where are you taking this... thing?"

Rael
02-07-2006, 10:19 AM
One of the eath start workers askinf Habn, while dressed as a storm trooper, where they are taking Chewbacca.

"There are too many of them."

Sgt. Awesome
02-07-2006, 08:47 PM
"I can't shake them"

A rebel pilot just before he get blown up.

"We lost something."

Rael
02-08-2006, 12:14 PM
No, it isn't "I can't shake them," the quote is "There are to many of them." Don't just assume you are always right.

Jarl
02-08-2006, 06:21 PM
No, it isn't "I can't shake them," the quote is "There are to many of them." Don't just assume you are always right.
Plus, "A rebel pilot who blew up" is kinda vague.
Green or Gray squadron pilot, can't remember exactly who, got blown up by TIE-Interceptors at the Battle of Endor, Return of the Jedi, to pretty much everybody on the Tac-Channel.
"We lost something" is Anakin Skywalker in the pilot's seat of the Invisible Hand as it splits in half and enters Coruscant's middle atmosphere in Revenge of the Sith.
Mine is...

-"Passive."

Sgt. Awesome
02-08-2006, 07:14 PM
No, it isn't "I can't shake them," the quote is "There are to many of them." Don't just assume you are always right.

I can't shake them is the line after. "There are too many of them. I can't shake them!" Then he gets blown up. And Jarl... umm... the pilots and squadrons names arn't really given other then Red & Gold.

"There are too many of them" is also said by one of the younglings to Darth Vader just before he kills them up good.

Yoda says it in the middle of a line... something like "you will know when you are at peace. Passive. A jedi never uses the force for defence only attack. " To Luke. Is that what you're talking about Jarl?

Rael
02-08-2006, 08:09 PM
Yeah, could we at least keep the movie lines to a three word minimum? I'm not a hundred persent sure, but I think the word passive may have been used more than once. It is six movies, all over two hours long.

Sgt. Awesome
02-08-2006, 11:37 PM
Yeah. But I'm pretty sure he means Yoda...

Which too many did you mean Rael? Padme's or Unknown Pilots?

Jarl
02-09-2006, 08:22 PM
I can't shake them is the line after. "There are too many of them. I can't shake them!" Then he gets blown up. And Jarl... umm... the pilots and squadrons names arn't really given other then Red & Gold.

It's a little clear, if I remember correctly, by their helmets, what color they've been assigned, but whatever.

Yoda says it in the middle of a line... something like "you will know when you are at peace. Passive. A jedi never uses the force for defence only attack. " To Luke. Is that what you're talking about Jarl?
Yeah, that's the one. And it's kinda its own line. And it's said only once, so, yeah.

-Your turn, I guess.

Sgt. Awesome
02-12-2006, 11:49 PM
"We decided to come and rescue you."

Anakin---Attack of the Clones

?

southpaw
02-13-2006, 06:10 PM
I think you got that one correct American.....you got a quote for us?

Sgt. Awesome
02-13-2006, 07:16 PM
Yes - that be right.

American
02-14-2006, 11:31 AM
"The war is over. Lord Sidious promised us peace. We only want..."

Jarl
02-14-2006, 04:52 PM
Vicery Nute Gunray's last words in Revenge of the Sith, said to his executioner, Darth Vader.
I actually miss him.

-"Wesa free!"

American
02-14-2006, 05:20 PM
He shoots...HE SCORES!

southpaw
03-06-2006, 07:56 PM
"Wesa Free!"

Jar Jar to Qui-Gon in TPM?

Jarl
03-06-2006, 09:38 PM
No.

-Tee hee.

Malenko
03-06-2006, 10:23 PM
If I'm not mistaken, it's a un-named gungan at the end of Return of the Jedi, when it's showing the celebration scene.

I'm pretty sure I'm right, soooo....

"Goodness, Gracious, me"

Jarl
03-07-2006, 09:56 PM
Yes!
Threepio to the robot guarding Jabba's palace at the beginning of RotJ.

-"Don't let me catch you giving none of them muffins to them little beggars outside, ya hear me?"

Son of Gilbert
03-16-2006, 05:18 PM
Was it Watto to Anakin in PM.........

Jarl
03-16-2006, 07:20 PM
No.

-That again, was no.

southpaw
03-16-2006, 08:21 PM
Now Jarl, is this a quote from STAR WARS or a quote from a made for T.V. EWOK movie? Like say "The Battle for Endor?"

Here is a quote......

"You're a real hero."

Jarl
03-16-2006, 11:06 PM
Technically, it's Star Wars. And yes.
Anyhoo...
"You're a real hero" is spoken to Lando Calrissian by Han Solo in Empire Strikes Back in the jail cell after Lando tells them it's a trap for Luke.
Ok... no Ewoks? Fine.

-"I thought you were blind!"

southpaw
03-17-2006, 10:22 AM
You broke the rules and you should be ashamed of yourself. I can't even LOOK at you right now. :angry

Really I thought it was funny myself.

-"I thought you were blind!"

Lando to Han in the sarlacc scene in RotJ.

Here you go......

"Any help here would be hot."

Jarl
03-17-2006, 02:27 PM
I broke no rules! I am above the rules!
I AM THE RULES.
And on that note, Jar Jar Binks to Quiggy McJinn in Otah Gunga, The Phantom Menace, telling them that the planet's core is too dangerous, blah blah blah.
Bah, just looked at the rules, I did break 'em.
Ahem.
"Ben!"
Just kidding.

-"Die dickheads!"

Son of Gilbert
03-17-2006, 03:57 PM
is it Luke to Ben in Jedi..........

If so here is a quote that I gave your teacher last night

"Sorry princess I don't have time for anything Else"

southpaw
04-01-2006, 10:57 AM
I think you scared Jarly off Junior.

"Sorry princess I don't have time for anything else"

Han to Leia in Empire.

Shit... I don't know that one. I am loathe to use Google to find out...

I'm thinking... the assassin in Episode II who tried to kill Padme? I don't remember their name....

I've gone through a Revenge of the Sith phase recently; and I had to consult the Star Wars Episode III script in order to find the quote I listed... it is barely recognizable otherwise.
