Has anyone been following the actual comics DC has been putting out lately? I just dropped the book cold turkey. It just got ridiculous. DC beyond fumbled the ball relaunching the character. Hell, I don't know why she needed relaunching.

Okay, I admit. I missed out on Rucka's run and waited for the trade. I was cutting back when he started his run. I now regret it. It was a bit slow, but it was intelligent and a nice take on the character.

Too bad DC wanted to restart the big three (Supes, Bats, & WW) after a giant company wide Crisis. Yes, another damn Crisis. Funny, the men in that trio weren't forced into submission and restarting with a new number 1 issue. Ugh. It's disgusting how DC treats one of their most famous female character.

What they did 'One Year Later'. Ugh. It barely made sense. It was like an Ultimate Marvel book or an DC All Star line book in its own continuity. Nothing made sense. Then the book was delayed so much to the writer, they skipped to the next story. They still haven't published the damn ending to the first arc!

Then head editor Dan DiDio signals Amazons Attack, which is a giant cross over that makes even less sense compared to Rucka's run and previous stories in recent years. Nevermind that it's a senseless crossover that forces the reader read an extra mini series as well as several tie ins to get the full story. Geez. They barely have Wonder Woman's own book back and they're forcing you into this crap? And, again, the story is utter crap.

I might pick the book back up as former Birds of Prey writer Gail Simone takes over, but as much as I like her, she's got a hell of a lot to make up for and quite a low point to get back up from.

Geez. You wonder why parent company AOL Time Warner can't do anything with the character? Just look at AOL Time Warner's servant DC comics. They can't even currently put out a good book with the character.

This is an utter shame. She's a fine character. The editors just seem lost on how to handle her. Guess she's just too much for these guys and they're afraid to really let her shine.

I couldn't agree with you more on this. I remember when Wonderwomangoddess use to be on this forum and she bashed the new relaunch after Crisis. The character was a complete mess. No longer the strong, compassionate, multi-facted warrior princess but instead the new launch made her into a sappy soap opera chick. What I loved was her integration as an Amazon into society and how she dealt with being a foreigner in strange place. Instead, they try to hook her up with a love interest, give her a secret identity, and make self reliant on a man! For crying out loud, she was the ultimate feminist character! Anyway, this new run just sucks and I hope someone else takes the reigns on the book.
