Well we are four weeks in to the series, and i find myself wanting a little more. What I've been reading so far has been interesting.

Steel: Back in the game after some time away, wanting a better world. He's also seems that he will be a problem for luthor over the next 11 months.

Booster Gold: Back from the future, attempting to become a celebrity superhero, and finding its not all its cracked up to be, with all the events he is trying to change not happening the way they are supposed to.

Ralph Dibny: A message from the dead, and a visit to wonder girl, but not much else to say so far, but one of the everymen of the DCU looks to be seeking a little piece of mind.

Black adam: His goal is simple. Its time for the heroes not to just police the world, but to change it too. Khandaq's king will be making his changes felt.

Question: Thats the character's name, and as he protects Gotham, he has hired the services of the sixth main character, but its still a mystery as to what.

Renee Montoya: A disgraced, former Gotham PD officer, seeking solace in the bottle, losing her partner and now her girlfriend has broken her. When the question hires her PI services, will she be able to break out of the downward spiral? will she want too?

Week Six now and the series is beginning to feel like it's drifting a bit. Every now and again we get a glimpse of something cool, but then we flash back to the Booster Gold story which, frankly, is beginning to bore me. I understnd DC is attempting something ambitious here and issue six does have a twist inolving Booster Gold that is interesting, but overall, this feels like a superhero soap opera.

I found they stuff written on Rip Hunter's blackboard and notes/books on the ground interesting. I'm guessing that stuff is going to be touched on more, by DC, in the coming months.

I do admit, the story seems to drag in small places, but it keeps all the major characters involved, while setting up the mysteries and eventual OYL staus quo we've been seeing. We don't know the final fates of the 6 OYL, but its said that this is the only book they will appear in for the time being.

I do like the backup though, as its streamlining history, and after that, they will chronicle 40 secret origins.

There is a small, evil, part of me, though, that can't help but wonder... What if DC hadn't launched One Year Later, but rather put all these titles on hiatus for a year and then relaunched them next year?
