Wanted Film

I just saw the on-line Wanted trailer with Angelina Jolie and it looks really good. For those who are unfamiliar with the graphic novel, Wanted is the story of a guy who lives a mundane life who discovers he is the biological son of world's most powerful assassin. Angelina plays Fox who trains him into following in his father's legacy. This version of Wanted looks like it is focusing more on the spy versus spy elements, mixed in with many espionage genres, and normal action sequences. In the novel, the Wanted universe incorporates the superhero aspect in reference to alternative dimensions and costumed crimefighters and villains. I think the film version deviates from it and just focuses on the Alias-like scenarios without the sci-fi/fantasy element. What do you guys think?

Eh. while Jolie and the director of Daywatch has me interested, I wasn't a fan of the original book. I kinda was annoyed at Millar's shock jock writing and even his scam to get Hollywood buzz around the film by having the artist draw the main character as Eminem.

Meanwhile, I also am ticked off that they altered the story from the book. Yes, I didn't care for the book yet I'm still upset that they altered the story. I know it sounds crazy, but just the principle of the matter annoys me.
