Wow, I just got a new computer and I can finally post again! I don't know who is still around from the old days, but for almost a year now I haven't been able to post. It has sucked royally. I lurked for months and months, sent Adam requests to help me out, but nothing worked. Then I get a new computer (OK it's my new job's computer) and I am back!
I moved from New Jersey to OC California recently to take a new job. I miss my family and friends back home but it is beautiful out here and the new job has a lot of potential. So...what's new?

Welcome back! :)
There are still quite a few oldbies around, and I think they'll give you a proper welcome... :eyebrow:

Oh, come on, so are we. Can't let me pick on the guy without making me feel like a red-headed step-child, can you?

Kah, if you were a red-headed stepchild, you'd be an exception to the rule
that phrase's reputation usually puts out. You're just way more well loved by everybody here than that. And if you were one, you'd be giving all red-headed step children a GOOD name for a change. :smirk:

Well, I have the red-headed part down pat, thanks to a little bottle I call Feria. The rest of that.... aaaaawwwww. :hugs: :D

I have failed you, young master matrix.
But apparently not, since you're here at last!
Go me!

I was a regular at CA after everyone switched over to these forums, which is kind of pathetic. (There was only about 10 of us!) Also, you've failed no one, sir Adam. I failed myself for not knowing anything about computers, at least not in the repairs department. It's a moot point now though. I must practice and practice until my online wit is back up to par, which for me was never very good anyway. But thanks for the welcome back everyone. I always hated the ol' "I'm back" or "I'm leaving" threads but IMC I hope you can make an exception.

I don't remember you from the Corona forums, but I only remember a handful of names. I was there starting in about 1998 or 1999. I left when it converted to Cinescape, but came back here recently. I spent a lot of time at CHUD, until I just got fed up with the people running their boards.

Devin Faraci got under my skin a few times, but I finally stopped taking him seriously and at least he kept me from boredom.
I just got tired of being hounded by Dan Whitehead and a couple of others after every post I made. Rather than respond to the post, they would criticize me for making it. It seemed as if the Chud boards became a place where you had to absolutely think like a few of the other posters, else you weren't respected at all. Once that happens, a message board just becomes a clique. I don't think that is something positive.

lol Actually you didn't fail him Adam. :D
He was having trouble posting because his accounts(both colmatrix and colmatrix2) were on "Waiting for email verification" before his account was fully activated. Once he sent you the message and you sent me the same message, I checked and changed it from "Waiting for email verification" to "Registered User" status.
The butthead just was missing his computer or didn't get my message that I pmed him after this happened.
LOL Welcome back, colmatrix. Welcome back to The Insane World Of Wacky Posters Island. Stay away from the "north" end though, we keep that seperated for the REALLY crazy posters. Jakester has his own acre, fenced of course.....for OUR safety.
