While I think that the rubber battle suits that we\'ve seen in 5 Batman movies now take some liberties with the character, I am at lest happy that this mask seems to be a significant improvement on the one in Batman Begins. That mask seemed to be lumpy and bizarrely shaped and looked wrong when viewed at most angles. It provieded an annoying distraction in an otherwise excellent movie. Ultimately it would be cool to see Batman on screen portrayed wearing a costume closer to the comic version such as we saw in Batman: Dead End. Absent of that, this suit looks fairly cool.

Definitely agree about the mask. The cowl in \"Begins\" was a little too \"fat\" for my taste, and the ears pointed too far inward; it gave a bit of a cone-headed look. This one looks a bit more vertical and straight.
It seems as though they\'re trying to emphasize the \"Knight\" part of the \"Dark Knight\" moniker. The shoulder pieces especially - teamed with the \"chainmail\"-like fabric beneath - give it the look of a dark suit of armor, as opposed to the \"stylized wetsuit\" look that was achieved in the last movie.
Personally, I think it\'d be hard for them to use a more cloth-based costume as in the comics without it looking a little too much like the one worn by Adam West, or worse - like someone stretched a t-shirt over some body armor. Maybe if they used MORE of that chainlink fabric...
Bah, as long as they keep it nipple-free, I\'ll be happy, hehe. =)
