I can\'t believe people are looking for political subtext in a movie based on a cartoon about robots that turn into cars and planes. The whole thing is about what can be created to sell more toys and other merchandise.

I agree with Andrew. People are trying to make everything political these days. If you are looking to a movie about transforming robots to justify a war you have some big problems. Plus I don\'t think Bush is smart enough to come up with that line anyway. \"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.\"

I had heard that the Prez in the movie is downplayed in favor of Jon Voight as Sec of Defense to reflect the viewpoint of the current administration.

If you\'ve seen the movie, I was actually laughing at all the anti-establishment undertones. The heroes were everyday cars and the villains were, what? cop cars and military vehicles. Hahaha.
