For the sake of avoiding \"confusion\", they can always simply not use Batman and Superman this time. After all, in post-modern continuity, they were not founding members.. it was J\'onn J\'onzz, Aquaman, Flash (Barry allen), Green Lantern (Jordan), and Wonder Woman.. they can still have a justice league film with these heroes.. they can hire Routh and Bale to film cameos as their secret identities.. that will be a good setup for a sequel..

We don\'t need another CURRENT Superman-related franchise with yet another totally different actor. We already have him played by different people for the Singer film(s), Smallville, and the Legion of Super Heroes cartoon. (not to mention for an upcoming appearance on \"The Batman\", and in the various direct-to-DVD DCU movies.)
Same goes for Batman, we don\'t need yet another different franchise for him in addition to the Bale films and The Batman cartoon.

some will disagree, but I think this is an opportunity for tom welling to show what he\'s got....I for one can\'t wait to see him as Superman in some form, some project, somewhere.

Hate to say it, but I couldn\'t agree more.
Welling would be a great choice with the timing of Smallville ending.

I agree as well. That would be great if Welling could play that part. That would only increase sales.. especially with all the Smallville fans (like myself).
It is Tom Wellings turn to be Superman, he\'s been the best actor to play the character since Christopher Reeve. It\'s about time we saw him in the suit.
