I'm sure all us fanboys have our own versions of how these stories should be told... I'd love to see something more along the lines of ?The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly,? with Logan as the so-called Man With No Name. Logan should get about 2 lines of dialog for ever half-hour of movie, and the whole picture should be full of atmosphere and sinister mystery.

I'm living in dreamland, however.

Too bad that they tone down the transformation scene. I'd almost rather see a pure adaptation of Weapon X comic, which I guess would just be like a real r-rated horror movie take on Wolverine. He doesn't talk, he just growls, and the majority of the movie is him being tortured.
Actually, that's not a bad idea, now that I think about it. You could have entertainingly long torture sequences with Logan, and not have to worry about the ?how would a man survive all this? issue. That'd be a great sequence to see during the Weapon X stuff, where a bunch of nazi-style scientists just fXck him up for months on end, experimenting with what he can heal from.

That's a dumb idea: all growls?? Why don't we try and convince George Lucas or Brett Ratner to direct it and have Omega Red played by that retarded guy off LA LAW.. Ass.

ALTHOUGH I do agree with the whole R-Rated Western feel: fight scene should not be all "Ang Lee Crouching Tiger, Hidden crap" - they should be brutal, bloody and brawl based - like "Oz" meets "Bourne Ultimatum" - economy of technique.

The idea of Nazi style Scientists is ALSO a good idea - many Nazi scientists were snapped up by the USA towards the end of WW2 for "black ops" style research and development (also a possible good link to Magneto's story: never know..).

Y'know, Nathaniel Essex has a good potential Nazi Sympathetic Scientist ring to it - and Apocalypse does have "Nietzsche-like" ideas.. may be a BIGGER film in this..

x4: The Age Of Apocalypse - NOW who's dreaming?
