What's going to happen to his son? Even more so, what's going to happen to him once he hits puberty? (heh heh) Seriously, the next Superman movie better have a serious super-villain. Yeah yeah, Luthor can have a part as well, but focus more on the real evil... perhaps Darkseid or Brainiac could be introduced...

actually bryan singer did say he was using brainiac, and he was gonna make it like star trek the wrath of khan!! which is pretty baller

Just what we need...another GAY Superman from Bryan Singer...
Drop out Singer....you Suck!

ARE YOU KIDDING??? WHO THE HECK WANTS SINGER? We had an awful story, awful plot, awful acting (except for Routh), awful nonsense, awful bastard son of Superman, awful direction, awful action (well, there was none!), awful continuity... you get the idea. Singer has no business being in this movie. The studio needs to read comments from real fans on sites across the internet, like this one and AICN and really listen. Singer and his 2 boy toy writers completely fcked up the movie and they had the f'ng arrogance to even have a cameo in the movie. Outrageous.

Darth, I do. But then, I like GOOD movies. Perhaps Step Up 2: The Streets or Witless Protection are more your speed.
Billymatt, you are just sad.

CaptainTae, Superman Returns sucked ass; I don't even know what step up2 is or part 1 for that matter but it sounds like you do. Superman was fucking boring dude, newsflash for you. He was good in xmen movies, too bad he didn't do part 3, cause if he did that wouldnt have sucked either. Back to singer and supes; the acting sucked, the movie premise sucked, the supes new suite sucked. The movie was bloated; the movie actually looked at itself as being so big and wonderful that it figured no matter what they did it wouldnt suck, but it did.

A Singer Directed and Inspired Superman Movie is only for those who have no problem settling for less.
Touche Captain Tae.

singer is a horrible director. i dont know why people are on his nuts so bad. he ruined the xmen. anyone who has read the comics will know that singer 's xmen were far from the character written on those marvel pages. that being said, i dont like it when a movie series switches directors. it tends to completely ruin the film (think of xmen 3 and conan the destroyer) even if the film wasnt that good to begin with. the only problem i really had with superman was the fact that he had an illegitimate child. that goes completely against the fact that superman is a noble character. i mean, how messed up would it be if you found out the guy that you barely noticed at work was the father of your child! singer ruined superman by giving him a son. the only way to fix the problem is to kill the kid and james marsten in the next one. come on, singer. i dare ya.

Hey CaptainTae, instead of just saying I like the garbage that you actually seem to know enough about to know how good/bad it can be, how about you actually tell me what was good or even halfway decent about SR that Singer came up with? How about first acknowledging that there is a difference between paying homage to the first Donner movie and just remaking that movie with a bastard child in it? Seriously, the fact that you even supported Singer making the next Superman movie should make you squirm, and well, it has taken away all credibility that you could even hope to possess in a forum for folks who like comics and movies. SR was a hairy turdball. Accept it. Move on. Lets get to the next movie and gives Big Blue the movie he deserves. We, as fans, deserve that. Singer is a very good director - I don't take that away. Just not for this movie. Just not for this series. Just not for for Superman. And the boytoy screenwriters have no business even being in Hollywood. Have you even seen Batman Begins? Please, think it through if you choose to reply to this post. Its nothing personal, but coming up with "I like Singer" and "SR was fine" is way under the bar that a forum like this should have.

Bringing back Singer would be a BIG mistake!! He completely ruined the Returns. I've pointed out numerous times his faults. How could someone who professes to be the biggest Supes fanboy get so MANY thing WRONG in this movie.
My biggest complaint was the Krytonite scenerios! C'mon. Anyway, I agree with most here. We need another villian. One which makes us believe that Supes could acually be defeated. Although he is so powerful, they have never pitted him against a supervillian that makes up believe they are just as powerful as he.
I don't want to see Lex again! But after that, I just want a good story/plot that does Superman justice! Hollywood needs to keep their hands off and let someone do their thing. Superman doesn't need changing!! Just updating. There is a difference!

Hello folks. I'm new here. Thanks for letting me in on the discussion. Brainiac is a must for the new movie. Also I think Superman should be built physically like Superman in the comics. Either send Roth to work out with the WWF or ditch him. Also quit with the sensitive Sup and start kicking ass.
Not to change the subject at hand but, I
was watching SNL with Tina Fey as host. A random thought popped into my head.... Wouldn't she be good as Lois Lane? Smart, brave, beautiful, self sufficient, nosy, sarcastic. She would also bring a little more humor and camp to the role. I think they need to ditch Ms. Bosworth and consider Tina as the new Lois. Anyone have thoughts on this subject, or am I just blowing wind

Hell why not put in Carlos Mencia for comedic support Singer!
Not gay bashing but whollycrap Batman that was a homo-erotic peeping tom Superman and a life less puppet called Lois Lane look Ma' no strings! Oh yeah who's the bastard kid? Cyclops right!
Singer stick with X-men or your other movies but get the hell out of DC franchise while you still some dignity! If you don't I will be sending Mencia to T-bag you!
