Well...I'm reluctant to spoil anything more than I already have. I will say that I stayed through the end credits hoping for an Easter Egg, and there was none. However, rumor has it that there will be an Easter Egg scene running with the movie in theaters during the actual release.

Well I just saw it yesterday and let me tell you I was giddy like a japenesse school girl! It reminded me of the day I first remeber seeing Spiderman for the first time in theatres in which I saw 3 times. This by far has started the summer with a blast and into high gear for movies!
By far this was a really fun movie even when Downey wasn't in the suit. I must say the actors were really cool while performing and enjoyed every minute of it.

Hey everyone, I live in Mexico and it opened today, let mi first say every single theater was sold out, I had to travel far to catch one at 11 at night with a full atendance.

Now lets get to what`s important, THE MOVIE EEFFFIN ROCKS, its amazing, the acting, the character depth, the action is mind blowing, dont listen to those reviewers, like the review that was posted here yesterday, I understand that in a filmic stance perhaps the story telling is a bit uneven but people need to realize this not independant, artsy flick, it has a purpose which is entertain us and it did just that, you find your self laughing quite a lot, with quick jokes here and there which Downey deliver`s amazingly, the action, it does take a little while to actually see the suit, but belive two things 1.- the wait is totaly worth it and 2.- it doesnt actually seem too long since there is stuff happening and your are inmersed in the film. Jarvis is also a very nice touch.

But dont take my word for it and go see it, please spread the word, I dont want pretencious reviews hurting a very good film just cause it isnt about a blind man in love with his dying maid in 18th century Prague, I want a locked sequel by the time the opening weekend ends.

here's my review:

the good: it's a serious, mature superhero movie, something that can be appreciated by kids and adults. big potential to be the next big marvel franchise. there's definitely a serious tone with the war angle and stuff. it's not like a dumb but fun movie like the first fantastic 4 movie. the acting is decent all over. robert downey is a great tony stark. marvel gave us a character that we can follow through multiple movies in tony, much like they did with peter parker in the spider-man trilogy.

the bad (small spoilers): like all first installments of a franchise, the movie focused more on character development/history instead of action. in the case here, the development of the iron man suit. action was a bit lacking. the mark 3 armor was actually only used twice, and mark 2 is used for just one scene. jarvis is a computer.

tip: finish the end credits. all the dumb people already left the cinema when i watched. it was just me and my girl friend who caught the final scene. patience pays.

over all, 8/10 for me. maybe 9 or 10 if you're a big iron fan. it's not a bad movie in any way. can't wait for the must-have sequel.

Just got back from seeing it, and the movie was absolutely amazing! I honestly feel like this movie just gave me back the Tony Stark and Iron Man I've been missing in the comics for the last few years since Civil War came out... Stellar performances by all the cast.

Great review of a great movie, Robb! I knew Robert Downey Jr. was going to be awesome, but he totally exceeded my expectations. It shows what can happen when you send a man to do a man's job- (are you listening, Nic Cage?). You hit the nail on the head about the rest of the cast, as well. Terence was totally believable, Gwyneth has never been sexier, and Jeff Bridges was actually scary. I can't say enough wonderful things about this movie; it's exactly how I always wanted to see Shellhead... actually it's even better than that! Well done Mr Favreau ( And you were pretty good, as well.) Just one thing: make sure you stay for the credits.) Kudos to Paramount, Favreau, the cast, Marvel, Stan, Jack Kirby, Larry Lieber, and Don Heck!

Iron was cool! Someone finally did a comicbook movie right. My only complaint about the movie was they spent too much time dwelling on stark building everything. They should have used that time to develope more story and more action in the armor.

The end fight scene was alittle cliche, short and anti-climatic, but other than that, it was very good.

the end scene after the credits was pretty cool too!!
