I caught this for the first time last night, and I found it pretty funny. Good use of music, but I can definitely see it turning into a cameo lovefest if it becomes real popular.
Still, love Tom Cavanagh. Didn't watch Ed but his cameos as JD's brother on Scrubs are great.
I think I might have to add this between my tuesday night watchlist of Rodney, 2 episodes of Scrubs and The Daily Show.

I knew I was going to catch hell for watching this, but I love the guy from his early appearances on The Bob & Tom Show. Frankly, it's not that great of a show, but it's not bad. And there's nothing else on at 7:30CST on Tuesday *shrug* :o

Not a bad episode. I do think it is sort of deriviative of Scrubs, with it's extensive use of music and internal monologue. I caught the opening wrapup, and I didn't realize the sports caster was gay. It doesn't appear they've touched on this at all in the 2 episodes I have watched. Was the director David Cross in disguise?
It's not a bad show, however, it does seem a little scattershot. One minute you've got the domestic angle with Jason Priestly's character, then Julia and Tom's are they/aren't they, then Tom and his career, then the 4 guys being guys, etc etc. They don't seem to focus too much on one storyline. This maybe how they want it, and I don't find it too distracting, but occasionally I'd like some more focus and less schizophrenia.
check out True Vinyl Records (http://www.truevinylrecords.com/index.html), the label they work at.
I still think it's worth watching, and it's better than most stuff on TV I think.

Welp, looks like CBS is shelving the show.

You may be getting your wish. The promos of Julia Louis-Dreyfus' new show (something something Old Christine) list it in Courting Alex's time slot.
