A long time ago, there was a science fiction show that hooked me in and kept me watching year after year. The cast, the characters, the writing, the effects, the score, the stories - the show was consistantly grand and spectacular for television science fiction. I loved it!
The show was Babylon 5.
As much as I loved the finale, I was equally saddened to see the ride end.
So it captured my interest when I heard there was a spin-off called "Legend of the Rangers." I just rented the DVD tonight.
3 minutes into the viewing and I could have sworn I was watching "Galaxy Quest."
Only "Galaxy Quest" is a lot funnier.
"Legends of the Ranger".... well, it's just not funny. It's....sad.
More "Andromeda" than "Babylon 5" - and just so you know where I'm coming from on "Andromeda" - it's Roddenberry jumping the shark.
I am now 45 minutes into Rangers.... and drinking isn't helping it any. What a sad waste of good vodka.
And all of this because none of my video rental stores have BSG 2-2 in stock this weekend.
