What's yours? :rolleyes:

Here's mine:

Well, we're movin' on up (movin' on up)
To the east side (movin' on up)
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
Movin' on up (movin' on up)
To the east side.
We finally got a piece of the pie.

Fish don't fry in the kitchen,
Beans don't burn on the grill.
Took a whole lotta tryin',
Just to get up that hill.
Now we're up in the big leagues,
Gettin' our turn at bat.
As long as we live, it's you and me baby,
There ain't nothin' wrong with that.

Well, we're movin' on up (movin' on up)
To the east side (movin' on up)
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
Movin' on up (movin' on up)
To the east side.
We finally got a piece of the pie.
:D

And if I have to tell you where this is from,
then you have no business watching TVLand. :D

Another one the poster shouldn't have to name...

Just two good ol’ boys,
Never meanin’ no harm,
Beats all you’ve ever saw, been in trouble
With the law since the day they was born.

Straightnin’ the curve,
Flatnin’ them hills.
Someday the mountain might get ‘em,
But the law never will.

Makin’ their way,
The only way they know how,
That’s just a little bit more
Than the law will allow.

Just good ol’ boys,
Wouldn’t change if they could,
Fightin’ the system like
a true modern day Robin Hood.

Well, since it was one of my favorite shows growing up and I have all the useless fun trivia from this show stored in my head.....

By Judy Hart Angelo and Gary Portnoy

Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.

Wouldn't you like to get away?

Sometimes you want to go

Where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see,
our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows
Your name.

You wanna go where people know,
people are all the same,
You wanna go where everybody knows
your name.

Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you've got;
Taking a break from all your worries
Sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?

All those night when you've got no lights,
The check is in the mail;
And your little angel
Hung the cat up by it's tail;
And your third fiance didn't show;

Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to be where you can see,
Our troubles are all the same;
You want to be where everybody knows your name.

Roll out of bed, Mr. Coffee's dead;
The morning's looking bright;
And your shrink ran off to Europe,
And didn't even write;
And your husband wants to be a girl;

Be glad there's one place in the world
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to go where people know,
People are all the same;
You want to go where everybody knows your name.

Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came..

Damn you Traz, damn you. When I first saw the title to this thread, what popped into my head? The DAMN Facts of Life theme song!!! And now it won't go away. :romy:

You're evil man, even if you didn't do it intentionally. You knew there was a crappy 80's theme song just hidden away in my cerebral cortex waiting, like a mental time bomb, for a trigger, and you provided it.

I hope you're happy and can live with the guilt. I am now banging my head against my desk in a desperate hope to remove this ditty swirling around my skull. :wink:

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Just a flat-out beautiful piece of music.

Sickness, I loved the first version better. The second version with the beat was not as good.

Oh and I agree with you, Nostromo, about the new BG theme.

My class was actually going to sing this song at our 8th grade graduation ceremony. We had to fight to get it on the program, since so many people would associate it with a bar, but eventually the teachers caved. When they found out we couldn't sing, they substituted Chariots of Fire, and we all walked in slow motion.

Roswell's theme song always got me. Dido's voice is just beautiful.

Here with me

I didn't hear you leave,
I wonder how am I still here
I don't want to move a thing,
It might change my memory
Oh I am what I am,
I'll do what I want,
But I can't hide
I won't go,
I won't sleep,
I can't breathe,
until you resting here with me
I won't leave,
I can't hide,
I cannot be,
Until you're resting here with me
I don't want to call my friends,
They might wake me from this dream
and I can't leave this bed,
Risk forgetting all that's been
Oh I am what I am,
I'll do what I want,
But i can't hide
I won't go,
I won't sleep,
I can't breathe'
Until you're resting here with me
I won't leave,
I can't hide,
I cannot be,
Until you're resting here with me.

Oh Yes! 5-0 Theme song is great - forgot about that. I liked the souped up version for TV over the Ventures single for radio. Wow - The Towers record bar saw me coming. :D N

The Miami Vice theme song DID rock. Good call.

But I cannot help but get nostalgic in a gooey way with
the theme song for the Original Star Trek with that
chick singing in the background...

AaaaaAAAAAAaaaaAaaAaAAAaaaaaaahhhh....

I agree with the new Galactica, also adding the classic Galactica wasn't bad either. I also like the themes from 24 and Hill Street Blues.
