Well the news just gets worse and worse with this movie. Glad a number of Marvel properties are at Marvel or reverting back. Geez. This makes the Fantastic Four 2 or Spider-man 3 production sound peachy keen. F--- Lionsgate if all this is true. Poor Frank. Hasn't the guy been through enough?

This is what puzzles me the most. How can they keep screwing up a simple concept like the Punisher. But for all we know they did it right and lionsgate doesn't get it. They think superhero movies need capes and or gadgets and a stupid freaking voice. I'm will be amazed if this thing even makes it to the theater. Sounds more like a strait to video to me. PG 13 what a freaking joke.

::Sigh::

Well, I've changed my mind. If I see that a trailer with a PG-13 rating on "Punisher War: Zone" I won't be going to see it.

every time i get a glimpse at any of the PUNISHER movies I keep hoping that there will be a studio someplace that will option the rights to the inspiration for frank's story...

MACK BOLAN!!!

That guy rocked. I could read those books over and over again as a kid... he deserves to be immortalized on film.

MARVEL characters who DESERVE (and need) to be immortalized in an "R" rated film:

Punisher (for obvious reasons)
Wolverine (c'mon, bub, I've got steel claws for cryin' out loud!)
Ghost Rider (more gore and violence would have made that movie rock)
Power Pack (just joking... and making sure you're paying attention)
Cloak and Dagger (who wouldn't want to see Dagger in the buff? )
Powerman and Iron Fist (oh yeah, kickin' ass and takin' names in the tone of Shaft or one of those crazy, but dark martial arts movies)

Anyway, there are just certain characters out there who aren't very... well, "kid-friendly". I know MARVEL Studios has sworn they will never put out an "R" rated film, but consider the possibilities of catering to an adult audience. True and definite justice will be given to all of these characters I listed (ok, not Power Pack... I was just kidding on that one) . Their stories wouldn't have to be watered down for the younger audience either!

There's no possible way this movie s going to be PG13. Didn't anyone see the graphic scenes of violence in an unofficial trailer? I mean 3 people's heads explode. Come on. I'm not into gore but try to be reasonable

Wolverine is going to be in that same rating genre. I mean c'mon, a wolverine movie without a lot of violence. I read somewhere that Marvel wouldn't put out an R rared movie. So I don't think lionsgate is to blame. However, I'm not sure how you can pull off a punisher movie without an R rating, same as with Wolverine????

I don't think we have to worry...
