The publishers keep pushing his next book back. Normally he would publish in August, but Amazon and Barnes and Noble have had it listed for publication in May, then June. Now there is no date. :angry

Wouldn't surprise me the movie tie-in isn't finalized and Clancy is holding out. And so he should.

The UK Amazon site has been listing the publication date as August 31st for a while now. Don't know if that's accurate, either, though. But it's weird that there hasn't been a single detail released about the book; hell, even Thomas Harris's next book (also seriously delayed) has had some info released.

I just hope to God it's not gonna be a Jack Ryan Jr. book. That character was hideous.

I agree Deac. But after Executive Orders and Red Rabbit, I had a feeling Clancy would go in that direction. I mean how much more can Jack Ryan accomplish? Now it's up to his brat, I mean son.

What would really get me pumped is a new John Clark story.

Keep SPAM in the SPAM thread, please. That link you posted doesn't even work.

The Teeth Of The Tiger..... yuck ! It was painful. Come on, let's have one last Jack Ryan Senior (as Prez) set against the North Koreans or something. And it finishes with him retiring and setting up the Campus to role into Teeth of the Tiger.

If you want a really class book on this kind of thing, if slightly out of date due to recent Middle East events, read "Dead Headers" by James H Jackson. It's fantastic.
