So much change! So many new additions!

Welcome! :D

So, when are we getting a horror forum? (Hint, hint.)

So where and when were those "existing" threads and forum members in those new forums imported from

i think its obvious that Mania aquired comics2film.com also since I attempted to see the 7 new dragonball pics and it kept redirecting me back to the main page of MANIA.com... stupid.... I never did see the pics.

HORROR FORUM... fuckin aye! that would kick ass.

Clive BARKERS MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN is playing all month on Demand's FEARNET!

Heh...we had a Horror forum not too long ago..

I got rid of it because it became namely me and GD (and someone else I think) talking to each other...

I thought the Asylum was the horror forum. :D

Jarrod, Horror movies come ad go with the tides, sometimes there are long bouts where literally no news comes out (horror related) sometimes i wonder how sites like bloodydisgusting.com and other horror exclusive sites continue to function when the horror well dries up. I guess they drum up rumor talk about the SAW sequels or talk endlessly about what Ely Roth or Rob Zombie is doing next.

Would it be outside the realm of possibility to link "horror" with "sci/fi" and "fantasy" so that theres a bigger news pool to discuss.

As much as I like horror movies, which is my favorite genre, like Jarrod said, it would pretty much be Jarrod, Mckracken, Me and maybe someone else. Mckracken did have a good idea with having Sci-Fi and Horror mixed together...but if I am not mistaken, I think that is what Jarrod had said in the past, that Horror was mixed in with Sci-fi......BUT...

I do have to say that if BLADE has its own forum, then why not Horror....?....

well if BLADE has its own forum... ALIEN NATION and Chuck Connors WEREWOLF should also have their own forums!

I agree that it's a come-and-go thing, McK. It's why we've had a Horror forum a few times over the last few years...i.e...created...deleted (no traffic)...created again...deleted again...Shock and B-D work well because they have the hardcorers who can find something to talk about nearly all the time. If we had the same amount of hardcore, there would be a Horror forum no problem.

I'm fine with making a Horror forum again guys...I was just saying the obvious there. That it would be me, you McKracken, GD and one or two others mainly doing the talking.

I'm also fine with mixing it in with the Sci-Fi/Fantasy(as it is right now but with a new forum title and description). Either way works for me.

Let's see what the other people in this Asylum say about it.

Jarrod, I think we need to work on getting INTELLIGENT traffic in here first. i was reading the Dragon Ball pics thread... some of these noobs have really bad grammar skills.

Where exactly are they trickling in from?

JarrodSarafin

They're not really noobs so much as transfers. They're our new website comrades set to join our ranks. That Dragonball thread for instance is from sometime ago as you will see in a majority of the threads from the new forums.

It's going to take some time before they get situated to post over here.

Btw, if you're reading this thread and you're from Comics2Film and you cannot log into the forums, let us know on the main site side through one of Rob's articles. Or his email.

Or info@mania.com

Or jarrod@mania.com

Be sure to title the email "Forum Login Issues" and give your account name. I can go through it and see if your forum login is waiting in the que system.

And welcome to our community as well!

Mix it with the Sci Fi forum. As long as horror has a place somewhere I'm fine with it.

Is this gonna wind up being like the Jets and the Sharks? Are the Maniacs gonna have a rumble with the C2F people?

Yup. We're going to have a dance off, followed by a spelling bee.

If no clear winner emerges, we'll have a two man sack race on consecutive Sundays until a champion is crowned.

not really a rumble as a push and a "HA-HA" maybe we'll tape a note to their back that says "NERD" or something.

Nerd: Errrr....Geek!

Geek: How dare you, sir!

Yes, but who are the nerds and who are the geeks?

whitetemplar78
10-06-2008, 08:25 AM
ohh, we are sooo the nerds in this, I mean come on, we can discuss the orgins of man in one thread and in another talk about how Superman can kick The Hulks ass. That falls under Nerd heading, BIG time.

Bill_the_Pony
10-06-2008, 12:33 PM
Ahem, excuse ME, and with all due respect, but I am a Geek. :smirk:

Nerds are down the hallway on...the right. :Mwahaha:

JarrodSarafin

Wouldn't the Godzilla toys put you under Nerd though, Bill?

Now, if they were Star Trek action figures, I would think Geek.

Bahh...the lines are drawn so close together, I consider myself both since I have bits of both definitions around the house somewhere.

NERD's wear white labcoats and wear pencil protectors with black thick rimmed glasses with cokebottle lenses and held together in the middle with a bandaid. They also have buck teeth and look way stupid... so see, by that definition Bill is a ....

GEEK!

JarrodSarafin
10-07-2008, 12:36 AM
Well, those are the stereotypes.

But according to some sources, a nerd also refers to a person who passionately pursues intellectual activities and obscure interests that are age inappropriate and will tend to associate with like-minded people.

Sooo...

My Star Wars action figures and my willingness to associate with like-minded freaks like you people also fit within a Nerd context as well.

Bahh...Apples and Oranges...Star Wars and Star Trek....Godzilla and King Kong...Transformers and Gobots.
