Well, the "McCain/Palin are ahead" thread is a bit outdated now, seeing how Obama would win in a landslide if the elections were today. I like to follow the coverage on Yahoo, as it allows you to build your own electoral college scenarios:

I love playing with the "custom scenario" application. However, I don't trust the Yahoo polls 100%, as they don't even list Florida and Ohio as battleground states anymore, when in fact most polls list them as battlegrounds.

Of course, the polls can still change significantly before election day. However, I think it looks like Obama might be able to win all the states that Kerry won plus possibly Florida and/or Ohio, which would be enough to win. But if he continues playing his cards really well over the next week, then he could end up with 360+ electoral votes.

I guess Obama's biggest advantage right now is that we can certainly expect a few more major gaffes from Palin. Or perhaps there is a video of her performing an exorcism on someone or something similar. I am not even joking, I would not be surprised if something like that existed.

I had a group of biotches like Elizabeth come in to the Newport Beach Starbucks last year (just before Xmas, shortly before I quit) and ask for a nonfat Eggnog Latte...I explained that I could cut the EggNog with nonfat, and the Alpha-Bitch of the group looks past me and says to the other person behind the counter (who happened to be the store manager, Susan): "This is the only Starbucks where I've HAD this sort of problem." I looked at her and said "You KNOW what".... and then just shook my head and chuckled. As they all sat down, I made some loud remark about how The OC must be back on the air and they were holding a casting call for middle-aged bleach blond moms. :smirk:
