Okay, that should snap you all to attention.

What if?
The Biblical reference to Man being made in the image of God refers to the ability to create intelligent life? I mean, every pregnancy is a new intelligent life, brought forth by the act of a man and woman.

That would make the sexual act one of the highest forms of creative endeavors, if not THE highest form. I mean, creating an intelligent being, it doesn't get much more creative than that.

Well, I have to say that I've gotten pretty creative from time to time... Oh, wait... That's not what you meant, was it?

The other day in the Ikea parking lot, some wonderful little creation's mother threw her little creation's disposable daiper, rolled up and taped in the back bed of my truck. :romy:

I call it BREEDING LIKE RABBITS. :romy:

In that case, I'm godless. :ohwell:

That would explain why his name keeps getting brought up during sex. I'm always like "hey that's ME doing that you know!" How about a thank you....a f*cking card something.

That's why the Bible tells you it's a sin to waste your seed. You are only supposed to have sex to procreate, and masturbation is a big no-no.

Anyways...

Bill, it's really not the kid's fault. The parents of the demon spawn, however, are entirely to blame. Kids will only do what their parents let them get away with. Until the kids become teenagers, then it's fair to place blame on the children.

I say bring back the beatings!

Or- you could just join my team. We don't believe in hell.

Ok, it's not really a team, per se...

Alright, it's just me, but we could start a team.. :D :jump2:

I see your point sonoKirk......however it seems to me that man is not doing anything different than what a cat a dog or a cow do.....or for that matter a a cherry tree and a hive of honey bees. I don't think those creatures are being very creative.....just following the pattern and the instinct.

Maybe the ....uh.....preliminaries :smirk: have some room for creativity....but the actual fertilizing of the seed is pretty straight (no pun intended) forward. Genisis tells us that God said, " Be fruitful and multiply"....I was kind of thinking that theres really no reason it should feel so good except God wanting us to enjoy it and do it LOTS !!!!

There's a lot of crappy parents out there. When I go into stores and see all the brattish behaviour, the screaming, the crying, the tearing up merchandise....and the mothers IGNORING their kids. And it's not just a few. EVERY time, in MULTITUDES.

I need to shop in better places than TJ Maxx and Marshalls. :ohwell:

Some okay things, but SOOOOOO ghetto. :dunno:

Don't even get me started on theaters. :angry

This is the long and short of it. This world has too many people. Many people are reproducing in massive quantities. Many of those kids are running riot on self will.

The population increases, the resources dwindle, and the infrastructure is cracking. The leaders and half the population hold to "values" that are archaic.

How much longer is this world going to take it? :(

I'm going to leave this continent soon. ;)

Nah. Real creativity takes higher cognitive functioning. Especially the stuff that last throughout time.

Doing the stuff that causes chromosomes to meet, as fond as I am of them, requires NO intellectual/imaginative activitiy at all.

I personally prefer using them, but witnessing the animal kingdom, hell, a chunk of humanity, it's obviously optional.

I hope that you're kidding. If not, you're train of thought frightens me to death.
Don't you remember what it was like to be a teenager. Full of emotion, perhaps with or without guidance. There is NO WAY that anyone under the age of 15 is totally responsible for their actions. The body is changing and is full of so many emotions that never quite hit that way again.

Perhaps the blame lies with the parents, or a capitalistic society in general. In the end, as the law now reads....until 18, you belong to your parents, and they should be held accountable. If you choose to have a child, you are fully responsible for their actions until they reach the age when our Gov. says they can die in a war for them.

So sad how the justice system overlooked the real culprits of Columbine.
Their ignorant parents who just refused to see that Jr. wasn't what they insisted, and no amount of common sense would have made an observant parent see that something wasn't quite right with their own damn child before he murdered so many others.

And the sad part is...it's only going to get worse as we move away from "family values".
Ya know....the ones us gays, as parents, aren't adhearing to.

Well! :) :D

Sickness, I will find the same bullshit everywhere. Wherever there is people, there is this.

There's just less of it in Hawaii.

My recovery (6 years last week, thank you) stresses that I take the spiritual road in the way I deal with the world around me. Hard to do, with the way things are, but it IS do-able. When I realise that most people are asleep, then I need to be grateful for who AND what I am, and what I have, and wish the less fortunate all the happiness I would wish for myself.... ( "less fortunate" being everyone I have a resentment about, and yes, it does sound pious, but that's nobody's business but mine :) )

Hawaii in the next couple years. A lot of things to deal with here, and then there will be numerous trips to Oahu.

But yes, there are a LOT of unenlightened types there as well. And as we already see, I do not suffer fools lightly. There's just less there, and 2500 miles of ocean between there and the rest of the world. :)

I'm glad you used the word "totally" in that sentance wolfman....cuz otherwise thats a big load of new age crap!!! I do agree that enviornment is a VERY BIG contributor to the outcome of a kid. And now that I've written it....I don't even agree with my own sentance. Because outcome refers to the end.....the final product and none of us are finished. There is always hope that as a person matures they will turn the course of their life towards the good.....towards the light.

Parents are extremely responsible for the outcome of their kids....still....in a loving, do the best you can situation......I beilieve most kids will turn out ok. Why? because they are gonna have to, sooner or later, get jobs and begin to live in the real world. A job has got to be one of the most important things a young person can ever do. Everybody is responsible to someone else, somewhere........

oh.....and Hi tstone....long time no see bro. Hows the german landscape treatin ya?

Onan's sin was not giving his dead brother an heir, as per tradition. He only wanted to bang his sister-in-law without any headaches of having to raise a kid who wouldn't even be considered his. Spanking it is not referenced directly, thank God. :D

The God reference does not mean,"to create intelligent life". Life itself is intelligent by it's ability to adopt to it's environment; but yes, I know what you are trying to say with the God reference. What it really speaking of, and you already know this I presume, you are just creating good conversation in learning everyone else take on it, is the ability to create in ones image. Not just physical, but emotional and personality, degree of intelligence and ability, mannorism and behavior, genetic and traits, and etc. That is what meant by "in his image", God-like for instance. All religions makes this point. We, like the father God, create our children in our image.

That would make the sexual act one of the highest forms of creative endeavors, if not THE highest form. I mean, creating an intelligent being, it doesn't get much more creative than that.

Well, man has the ability now to not only fuse life with machines, which is what the body is anyway, but create new species of life and intelligence all together. With the advance of technology of course, and not just simply mating.

I am sort of kidding. Do I think you should beat your kids- no. Do I think they know what the hell they are doing at 13 and 14? Yes I do, from personal experience and watching my friends' kids go right down the crapper as they become teenagers. Do I think parents are to blame- yes, read my previous post. I think kids need serious discipline. They need to a reason to not screw up. Otherwise, they are going to do things they shouldn't just to see how far they can get.

What's really sad here, is that any rapist can be a father, and any crackwhore can be a mother, but gay men and women who want to take in the children thrown away by the aforementioned, don't get the choice.

This issue all really comes back to the separation between church and state, which seem to be getting less and less separate.

Feeling a little under the spotlight there Ol' Traz?

You keep it up with the Munchkins and I'm gonna start calling you Jacob. I have a feeling you are trying to create the 12 tribes of the Atlanta area.

No need to take it personally, Traz.

I rant, too, and besides my best friends are with families.

I am just not fit for suburbia, and I am forever grateful for that.

But more than that, I;m beginning more and more to feel like Agent Smith in the Matrix. Humans are a cancer.

Especially the one who tossed a diaper into the back of my truck. :)
