The big releases...

1. DaVinci Code-Waste of time and talent

2. X-Men 3-Singer is missed, but the failure of this film isn't Ratner's fault, at least, not totally.

3. Cars-A paint by numbers film. Would be good for Dreamworks, a letdown from Pixar. First Pixar film that won't be in my DVD collection.

BUT...still looking forward to Superman Returns, Zoom, Super Ex Girlfriend, The Fountain, Clerks 2, Lady In the Water...

Oh, and these I wanna see, too...

07/07--"A Scanner Darkly" (limited release): Richard Linklater's version of the PK Dick story about a undercover cop investigating his split personality. Cool rotoscope animation of live action with Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder.

09/01--"Idiocracy": Mike Judge comedy about an average guy (Owen Wilson) put into hiberation as an Army experience who wakes up 1000 years later as the most intelligent person on the planet. Formerly titled "3001."

The Children of Men": Alfonso Cuaron directs Julianne Moore and Clive Owen in a near-future story where a women conceives the first child on earth in 27 years.

10/27 (limited)--"The Prestige": Batman star Christian Bale and director Christopher Nolan reunite in this adaptation of Christopher Priest's novel about battling magicians in turn-of-the-century London. Filming now; according to EW, will premiere late this year.

12/15--"Eragon": based on the best-selling Christopher Paolini novel. Basically "Star Wars" but with dragons.
