TIME has a new article on the best and worst 007 themes. I dunno if I really agree with them. I always kind of liked "You Know My Name" and "Tomorrow Never Dies". I'm surprised "Die Another Day" isn't on the "worst" list (I like the song, but I don't know how well it fits with Bond).
What do you think are the best and worst songs?

I can't pick a favorite, but I can tell you that The Man with the Golden Gun has been and will likely remain at the bottom of the list.

That list is crap.
First off, I don't consider Armstrong's song a Bond theme (my definition is the song that plays over the titles).
Chris Cornell's song belongs near the top 5 not in the bottom. Madonna's song belongs in the bottom and where was Garbage? They created a wonderful song.
The whole list is skewed.
The top should include (I know this is more than 5)
TWINE, LALD, You Know my Name, Nobody Does it Better, YOLT, OHMSS, and the James Bond Theme from DN.
The bottom:
DAD, MR, LTK, TMWTGG, All Time High, FYEO, and Another Way to Die
The rest all fall somewhere in the middle

Apparently David Arnold is keen to work with The Killers on the next Bond theme. I think they'd do a respectable job with it.

I'd be eager to hear a Killers' take on a Bond theme. I don't know whether I legitimately like them or if they're just a guilty pleasure I have, but I can't see where their take could be any worse than this last what I like to call "collabomination."

Yeah, you can really only go up from here. I'd still like to hear what Amy Winehouse could do with a Bond theme, if she's still alive by the time the next one comes around.
