Hey, that brings up an interesting point. Were Lee and Dee wearing rings when they were married? If so, WHERE DID THEY GET THEM? There's got to be a serious need for any and all metals in the fleet for ship repair, equipment repair, etc. I doubt anyone would toss a little to a couple of crazy kids in love.

I would suspect that like any displaced people, they would be carrying heirlooms, even if they had to keep them hidden as contraband. If they had rings, that's were they would have come from.

I got the feeling they were never that desperate for metal, only fuel and water and other vitals. besides we're talking about rings. it seems rings are like guns, you might try melting them down for scrap but you'll never be 100% rid of them.
