I was wondering if anyone could suggest some good topics that I could use for an essay on Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility? It will be about 1000 words long and does not have to be too detailed. I was thinking of the right balance between Sense and Sensibility but couldn't think of the right way to phrase it. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. :)

Just remember that Austen is using the word "sense" as more of a synonym for "feeling" or "emotion," so the title is placing reason and emotion in contrast with each other. This contrast is obvious in how the main characters act, especially when it comes to romantic relationships.

At least, it's obvious if you've read the book, so that's all I'm gonna say. I'd love to talk about Austen, but I'm not going to do anyone's homework for them.
