Did you guys know that the Pirates of the Caribbean 2 was the #3 soundtrack? Thats really good for being mostly and orchestral album. My coworker at Universal thinks it's doing well because 6 time academy award winner Hans Zimmer did the score. What do you guys think?
here's a link too:

OMG!!! This soundtrack is TOTALLY FREAKIN' UNBELIEVABLE!!!
IT'S LIKE I'M BACK AT THE MOVIE
THEATER RELIVING THE WHOLE DAMMED THING!!!
When I heard the sample of the first track,
cleverly titled Jack Sparrow, it was like he
was INSIDE MY HEAD! Movie magic will never cease to amaze.
Hey people! How would you like to have
JOHNNY DEPP as JACK SPARROW inside your head?
Then listen to this track, and BUY BUY BUY!!!!
Disney stock is at an all time low folks,
so now's the time to buy it up and rake in the dough!
I laughed so hard I blew chinese fried rice out of my nose
when I heard the track for DINNER IS SERVED.
That was just SOOOO hilarious. It was like
I was laughing along with the rest of the audience
when Jack was getting barbequed jerk-chicken style!
Now THAT's comedy folks. Not even Bob Hope in all
his Road-To glory would've come up with a bit like that.
And what's so cool is that I can relive the
awesome sequel in my car over and over again as
often as I want! I hear the Zimmer tunes, and I'm
like SO THERE. A total out of body experience dude!
Isn't that just the coolest of the coolest EVER???
This soundtrack rawks like the Beatles in Shea Stadium man, but way better!
I'm talking like if you mixed the Backstreet Boys with Bob Seger
and the Silver Bullet Band and Eddie Van Halen's
Diver Down guitar into a blender and set it to puree
for like the next two years, then BAM!!!
You got this soundtrack man!...
There's just one small problem with it though.
That smell of spam.
When you go to store, buy it with YOUR money,
and take it out of the near-impossible-to-open wrapped packaging,
the smell hits you, and you want to vomit out your guts.
It's that bad.
But why should that stop you?
Screw gas prices. Go out and buy
Pirates of the Caribbean II: Dead CAN of SPAM.
That title pretty much says it all.
And hey! Sweethaley. Don't be a stranger.
How are things in Disneyland?
How's marketing? The public relations folks must be
up to their neck in work with only 8 movies a year
to expect from you guys. And what a pity.
I was SO looking foward to High School Musical II.
So what bulletin board does this make it now, spam attack number 15?
You keeping tabs on all the websites you hit? Tracking down all the number
of views this thread will catch or the responses it'll get?
You know how it is. Gotta keep that hit count to the Disney site
high as possible while maintaining all that data typed out
and prettied up in a spreadsheet for your supervisor.
QUOTA-QUOTA-QUOTA!
It's the information age baby, so you'd BETTER be
getting all this down for yo bosses, else the movie's intake numbers
will practically plummet, and they'll point the fingers at YOU and
blame you for the lack of revenue you failed to rake in,
send you out to the cleaners, and making you out to be the scapegoat
for their marketing ills.
Oh sure. Laugh. But here I think Bill Hicks said it best:
""By the way if anyone here is in advertising or marketing... kill yourself.
No, no, no it's just a little thought. I'm just trying to plant seeds.
Maybe one day, they'll take root - I don't know. You try, you do what you can.
Kill yourself. Seriously though, if you are, do. Aaah, no really, there's no rationalisation for what you do and you are Satan's little helpers, Okay - kill yourself - seriously. You are the ruiner of all things good, seriously.
No this is not a joke, you're going, "there's going to be a joke coming," there's no f****** joke coming. You are Satan's spawn filling the world with bile and garbage. You are f***ed and you are f***ing us. Kill yourself. It's the only way to save your f***ing soul, kill yourself.
Planting seeds. I know all the marketing people are going, "he's doing a joke... there's no joke here whatsoever. Suck a tail-pipe, f***ing hang yourself, borrow a gun from a Yank friend - I don't care how you do it. Rid the world of your evil f***ing machinations. I know what all the marketing people are thinking right now too, "Oh, you know what Bill's doing, he's going for that anti-marketing dollar. That's a good market, he's very smart."
Oh man, I am not doing that. You f***ing evil scumbags! "Ooh, you know what Bill's doing now, he's going for the righteous indignation dollar. That's a big dollar. A lot of people are feeling that indignation. We've done research - huge market. He's doing a good thing." --dammit, I'm not doing that, you scum-bags!"
