Pretty cool. It can be fun to adopt a ridiculously antagonistic point of view just to get a rise out of people, though I guess doing it on a board that is specifically designed for that purpose is somewhat like crashing a plane in a flight simulator - it doesn't quite feel like the real thing. :winks:

I used to post on a message board run by the Flat Earth Society where I defended the viewpoint that the Earth is indeed flat and that the idea that the Earth is a sphere is a huge hoax that is only believed by the most simple-minded. You wouldn't believe how much trouble many people can have with trying to prove that the Earth is indeed spherical. :D

Yeah, especially considering that it can be made in a single logical step: the Earth always casts a circular shadow on the moon during an eclipse. If it were flat, it would cast an oval from time to time. If it were any solid shape other than spherical, it could only cast a circular shadow occasionally and only if the Earth were an ellipsoid.
