That was another fine episode of Battlestar. It seems Baltar is starting to stick up for himself a bit. That can't lead anywhere good. :winks:

You can read my review here (http://jonja.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=745)

So does Roslyn suspect something about Baltar because of her flashbacks when she was very ill?

Black Market was Battlestar's first truly awful episode. The first episode that was so boring, I wanted to stop watching half-way through.

The episode got off to a bad start by recycling the "48 hours earlier" gimmick in the beginning, which was just used in the Pegasus episode where Apollo ejected from his viper. Apollo's backstory involving a lost love comes out of nowhere and was handled poorly. The basis for all of his emotional turmoil is a break up that we just learn about? Bad story-telling.

Also the Baltar-6 scenes have lost their uniqueness and border on tedious... cue keyboard music... 6 says something to Baltar...Baltar responds to her but then has to alter his response so the person he is actually talking to thinks the comment was directed to them. I thought they moved this plot-line along with the Pegasus episodes... I guess not.

The show is terrific. Black Market was a rare mis-fire... although the previews for next week's episode have me concerned.

I didn't like them repeating the "48 hours earlier" technique so soon after the last one, but I did like this episode, mainly for the dark turn Apollo's character is taking. "You won't shoot me. You're not--" BAM!

At the beginning of the series, Apollo was too straight-arrow to do something like that. Now he doesn't hesitate, and I wonder how this will impact his behavior if he comes into conflict with the President or even his father.

Generally, I liked the episode, but I have to agree with some of Cooper's criticisms. Where did lovey-dovey chick come from?

I liked this episode, but they may be treading on thin ice if they keep it up.
