Since my childhood, I've always been a Batman fan, but I must admit that I did not continue to follow the comics after reaching adulthood. Therefore, I must ask those more knowledgeable than myself:

Was the LOS a component of the Batman comics, or was this something new brought to the genre by BB? Details, etc? Thanks!!

Well, it was actually called the League of Assassins. It was was brought up in the comics, and the animated series.
