I ordered a pizza last night with pepperoni and pineapple, and I started thinking about how great fresh pineapple is, and then fruit in general.

Fruit is truly amazing when you think about all of the variety. Grapes, apples, bananas, oranges, mango, pineapple, kiwi, figs, pears, etc.

So, what are our favorites?
Mine:
1. Apples
2. Bananas
3. Oranges
4. Grapes
5. Honeydew melon

The more I think about all types of fruit, the more I realize THEY ARE ALL NUMBER 1! Damn, I just love all of them!

Mmm. I love fruit.

Strawberries
Blueberries
Black Raspberries (not blackberries, they're not the same)
Kiwi
Tomatoes
Starfruit
Navel Oranges
Nectarines
Watermelon
Green Grapes
Cantalope
Honeydew

Is there a fruit that isn't yummy?

Ok, I don't like bananas. But they're fabulous in bread, so they do have a purpose.

1. Fresh Pineapple. It is so tasty I will eat it until my mouth goes numb.
2. Blueberries. So yummy with everything (on oatmeal, in pancakes), and easy to prepare!
3. Apples. Love the crunchy varieties, or in baked goods.
4. Strawberries. I didn't care for them growing up, but now I love them with vanilla yogurt and Kashi crunch for breakfast.
5. Bananas, as long as they're not too ripe.
6. Raspberries. Seeds are irritating, but worth it for the taste.
7. Mangoes. Yummy in smoothies.
8. Watermelon. Tasty, and full of Vitamin P!
9. Pears. Not as crunchy as apples, but still tasty.
10. Kiwifruit. Fun to eat with a spoon.

Occasionally I also enjoy peaches and cherries (esp. Rainier), and honeydew melon if it's with mixed fruit. I don't really care for oranges, most other melons, and I despise cantaloupe.

Beat me to it.....

My wife thinks I'm weird for eating bananas that are still green. I don't know why, but I do not like bananas once they start to get yellow. They have to still be green for me to like them.

So you prefer virgin bananas to older and wiser ones? :D

I worked at a juice bar once. My fingers would be burned from the pineapple acidity by the time each shift was over. My lips were burned, too. I ate so much of it!

I'm MUCH thicker skinned than some people give me credit for.

But when ...er...someone...wants to be an a**hole, then they get treated like one.

SO anyways. Fruits. Yeah.

I know where you're coming from. I can't say I like bananas that are totally green, but if there isn't any green left on the edges, that's too ripe for me. They just get a weird aftertaste when they're too ripe. In which case, it's time for chocolate chip banana bread. <burp>
