Anyone else interested in this one?

Not sure of the full premise of it, but just by music and look alone,
it looks TOTALLY METAL DUDE!!!

:D

Premieres tonight on Adult Swim.

hmm for some reason adultswim.com doesn't have a page for the show. However, if you go to their site, they are promoting it and they have wallpapers for the show. :)

And btw, you can watch it now at their website... (http://www.adultswim.com/adultswimfix/index.jsp)

I've seen it already...

It was, um, only eleven minutes....

Not a lot of time out of my day actually...

Here's my review.

Ahem.

I'd say about half of it was pretty funny. Very bloody and violent
in some unintentional ways. Some of the accents were hard to
understand, but you get the gists pretty much.
The trip to the supermarket was the funniest scene.
Beavis and Butthead would definitely dig this one.
It was definitely METAL.

I'd give it a solid B.

All I can do is wait and see where it goes from here.

Overall, VERY interesting.

Wasn't bad (definitely better than that Tom Goes To the Mayor crap), but wasn't exactly a homerun either. Hopefully they flesh this out a little more.

I caught this last night, and I wasn't impressed. It did seem to have some interesting parts, and if they develop it further it might be better. I could hardly understand their dialogue.

No, i have to say that I don't like it. It reminds me to much of Korgoth. I tell you that I would much rather have seen new Futurama then crap like this.

What's Korgoth?

Korgoth is Gennedy Tartokovsky's version of Conan the Barbarian. It's actually fairly cool, very violent, and extremely freakin funny.

Check it out here. (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=korgoth&search=Search)

The pilot is there on the link in three parts.

No word yet on whether or not AS has picked this up as a series.

I see you, cause I'm a WINNER.

I really liked Korgoth. I only saw one EP though. Metalocalypse couldn't keep my attention.

Korgoth only had the one episode. It's looking more and more like it's going to go into full-blown production since it was a big hit.

Metalocalypse is a bit more geared toward the Aqua Teen Hunger Force crowd. Although, I did find the scene withthe guitar player playing and singing for the fish in the Mariana's Trench while floating in a dive bell filled with liquid oxygen to be pretty damn funny.

Yeah I fell the same way. It seems like Adult Swim has been reaching a bit here lately. Minoriteam has been a big disappointment.

I don't know, I sort of like Minoriteam. Maybe it's because I am an old-school comic geek and it reminds me of the old 70s comics in style.

Yup, they play a lot with the Kirby-esqe style of art. Plus I get a kick out of knowing that the guy who does the White Shadow's voice, does that voice with a garbage pail over his head. :D

YouTube went down for a few hours yesterday for maintenance.
It came up last night, and I saw Korgoth... wow.

The whole time I was watching it, I kept expecting a glowing green ball
to show up floating around and melting everything in its path. :smirk:

I hate to admit this, but this show is growing on me to where,
no matter how bad the jokes are, the train wreck quality of each
episode is so top notch, if I happen to laugh along the way, it's a bonus.

The behind the scenes clips when you enter are pretty cool too.
Makes me wanna break out the axe and learn to shred. :smirk:
With some practice, it doesn't look all that hard to learn.

Question: does anyone know what actor does what band member voice?

The actors are Mark Hamill, Brendan Small, Victor Brandt, Tommy Blacha,
Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield.

DaForce

Well, according to imdb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0839188/fullcredits) Nathan Explosion is voiced by Brendon Small.

I have to say, hands down, the last episode with the lead guitarist
doing an infomercial was the funniest yet. The last 3 minutes had
me busting my guts all over the floor, followed by hyperventilation.

Dude! Is there cilantro in this? ...
