What, people still play instruments?

Younger female solo artists anyway - seems that girls who play music are getting fewer and farther between. I'm always more inclined to give someone a listen if I learn that they play, even if it seems like it might not really be my thing. The last one I checked out was Kristy Frank, a teenager with a surprisingly good voice who plays guitar on her cd. A coworker told me to listen to the Freedom cd. I'm not really into pop but it was pretty good! I guess you never know what may catch you.
