An Ideal

I want someone who will tell me things, not play a secretive card. I want someone who I can rely on. I want someone I can confide it who can help me with my problems. I want someone so is able to cope without contact for extended periods of time without looking elsewhere for it but at the same time I want someone who wants that contact as well. To sound shallow I want someone who will put out.
I want someone who makes me want to be better, not to make me feel comfortable with who I am but at the same time... likes me for who I am and doesn't need me to be better.
I want someone who's talents I can appreciate, and who appreciates mine.
I want a white picket fence in the suburbs. With a cat. And two kids. One boy (older by seven years) and one girl.
I want a hybrid Cadillac convertible. I want to find god, then realise that I'm comfortable with who I am without him.I want someone who will be cool with me saving this in hard copy. I want someone who can criticize me, but I don’t take criticism well.

I wrote this in a tangent at my girlfriend in process of starting to break up... I liked it and saved it. Looking to improve it.

Then I suggest rewriting it in a free-verse poem form.

I want someone who will tell me things,
Who won't play secret games with me.
I want someone I can rely on,
Someone I can confide in.

etc, etc. Just an example.

Bro, there's a song there. Seriously. I read this and I hear a song.....

If I may;

I want someone who will tell me things
not play a secretive card.
I want someone
who I can rely on.

I want someone I can confide in
who can help me
with my problems.
I want someone who is able

To cope without contact for
extended periods of time
without looking elsewhere for it
but at the same time

I want someone who wants
that contact as well.

To sound shallow

I want someone who will put out.

I want someone who makes
me want to be better
not to make me feel comfortable
with who I am

but at the same time
likes me for who I am
and doesn't need me
to be better.

I want someone who's
talents
I can appreciate, and
who appreciates
mine.

I want a white picket fence in the suburbs.
With a cat.
And two kids.
One boy (older by seven years) and one girl.

I want a hybrid Cadillac convertible.
I want to find god,
then realise
that I'm comfortable with who I am without him.

I want someone who will be cool
with me saving this in hard copy.
I want someone who can criticize me,
but I don’t take criticism well.

This came from your heart dude. I say find the song man.

Yeah, it worked for Alanis: "21 Things I Want in a Lover."

Still, it's nice to get your feelings down on paper sometimes, even if you don't set them to music.
