Well, you'll get a full write-up later, but I am here to tell you that Bond Collector's Weekend #9 was a fabulous time.

We saw Palmyra.

I kid you not. Palmyra. Saw it? We hung out. The house is virtually identical; unchanged from the time it was used in Thunderball in 1965. The owner has been letting it fall to ruin, but other than the fact that it is in poor condition, it's the same. There's the pool, there's the shark pool, there's where Fiona was target shooting, there's where Domino dried her hair.

Unbelieveable.

The gardener harvested coconuts from a tree and we all drank fresh Palmyra coconut milk.

That was the best part, but there's plenty more.

Thats AWESOME! Good for you Kara. How did the rest of it go?

Hey, maybe the owner of Palmyra will be willing to sell it.. cheap! :)

I am wondering just how much trouble I would get into if I took my partner to the Bahamas on holiday..... and only after we arrived I casually told her there was a Bond convention on. Hmmmmm.........

There were quite a few couples on the cruise where the husband was a hardcore Bond collector and the wife less of a fan. There's so much to do on a cruise. Jim Arnold's wife and daughter went to the Atlantis Casino on Paradise Island while Jim & his son did tour stuff, and they met up later.
