My trip to Vegas is complete. Whew....Quite a trip, I'll say. Vegas is wild, expensive, strange, exhaustive, and definitely a place everyone should visit once.
Bring lots of money, you'll need it. Even if it's just to eat and ride around, nothing is really cheap there. Gambling goes fast, give the penny and nickel slots their due, you get more time to play and get drinks. Also, get the players cards because they do offer deals.
Don't be surprised by anything you might see or by flyers you might be handed for services. It's not just flyers for hookers, although there are TONS of those. Enjoy the views and if you like to watch people, there is definitely no shortage of opportunities.
Expect to be WORN OUT! Walking all over the place is tiring but there is so much to take in that by the time you get back to your room, your eyes and brain are exhausted, too.
Notables from my trip:
-Circus Circus is for families and not the place to be if you don't want to be tempted to smack unruly children in the hotel lobby at 4am or their parents for having them there.
-Even if you suck at poker, stick a $5 in the machine and play casually while you chat and your drinks are free at the bar.
-Best homeless sign, "Why Lie? Need a Beer"
-MGM buffett is killer and worth $25/person
-If your friends are getting married while you're there, make sure you can drink in the limo on the way to the chapel. EVERY HOTEL has a chapel - even the HOJO.
-There is little that is cooler than 100 pool tables in a ballroom and playing a match in Vegas against the best in the country - and winning.
