Greetings old CA mates! Been a LONG time....
So, what's the story with Pat? I see that Corona's main production page is not up any longer. Anyone know?
Thanks!

I don't know what's going on with him but I wish him the best. If it wasn't for him creating CA in the first place I wouldn't have met such good people to travel to Cinescape with and then Cinescape's new boards.
It was that first board's environment of inclusion, mutual respect and occasional fondling that got me where I am today. :)

Fondling, huh??! :D
I knew of somethings that went on there at CA before you nuts joined us at Cine....but the fondling thing fits perfectly.

If I remember correctly you started a "Welcome to the Cinescape Boards...here is your fondle" thread when we got here....or was that just a few private messages to me?? :hugs:
DarkJedi

Oh no, that was me.
Little did I know you all were a bunch of psychos.
If I knew, I would have created a "Welcome to Cinescape! Now leave or pay me bribes!"
omicron

I would have thought the message would be
"Welcome to Cinescape. Now please step into the decontamination chamber"

Once Jakester got here, there was no point in going through all that any more.:p

Yep, Ms. Spanky. :D
Exactly what I thought.
Once Jakester got here with his infectious freakiness.....well, decontamination just becomes moot.

We should have put him in a little cage the moment he arrived.

That only would have turned him on more.

It's true - but then he would have stayed away from the rest of us.

Dude, you are not being quite truthful enough here....
Everyone, I think he meant to say "Nah, my member can break through solid steel foil no more than .000002 meters thick."
~pat his head lovingly (the one above his shoulders- sheesh :green: )~
Of course it can, Jakey. It can do anything you set its mind to.

Ahh yes, this is what I miss about CA, going completely off-topic into an obscure conversation only a few can relate to..

OKAY! WE ARE NOT GOING FORWARD WITH ANY MORE DISCUSSION UNTIL YOU GET THIS CORRECT:
ANY REFERENCE TO THE WORD MITTENS IS FORBIDDEN!
Friggin-A! I have not and never will understood the stooooooopid reference. Inane, simply inane.

Can we talk about camaros and cheese? :D
Omi
Bokchoi Cowboy
01-31-2006, 11:18 AM
Camaros and cheese I can understand. I saw the references, it makes sense in a message board way, but the stupid mittens thing is just moronic. I even scanned through old CA postings once to get an idea of the backstory behind certain peoples moronic use of that word, and I got nothing that satified me other than for a lack of something witty or intelligent to post they simply pull out the old "Mittens!" and think they are just God's gift to internet communication.....

:poke: MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS MITTENS
By the way, that is the point; it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and is moronic. If you were not on the CA boards when it first started showing up, then you would not get it and that is half the humor, the fact that people, like yourself, can become so very upset over something they don’t "get".
If I remember correctly, it started when there was a very heated discussion raging on between two long time CA'rs, mods even I think and it was getting REALLY UGLY, suddenly, someone just posted some insanely ridiculous post about mittens that calmed all involved down. From then on....well, you know...
But I really hope you were not that serious about it Bokchoi Cowboy, it just felt good to be around some of the oldies.

Nah, it really doesn't piss me off. It is just that it is a reference that without correct explanation doesn't blend well with the many newer users that have come to this community since the merger of the CA/Cinescape boards. The Camaro and Cheese thing was pretty easy to follow, but the mitten thing just got annoying.

Don't be so bitter just because you weren't part of the CA cool kid club.
If I want to reference Mittens to reminisce with Traz, Nat, Jake, Cncrman or whoever else had access to Jaguar's Jacuzzi then I can and I should be able to do it without being called a moron. As far as I'm aware, morons don't speak Latin, can rattle off the history of Rome, hold two degrees, or get straight A's in physics. Then again, I could be an idiot savant.
Now, stop complaining about mittens and get back to photoshopping!
Now then.....

Tit for tat ther my dear Carnival...not anyone did I call a moron, just the use of that word in the context complained about suggest a moronic act. Even the most intelligent can act rather moronic, but I would not classify them as morons, especially if I use your definition of what you think a moron is not (speaking Latin, rattling off the history of Rome, holding two degrees, or getting straight A's in physics....of course if you want to compare, how about speaking German, Hindi, Spanish, and Punjabi, rattle off the history of India, Fiji, Vietnam, China, and Japan, holding one degree and veeeeery close to the second, and getting straight A's in all of my computer science courses...)
And if you want to have me photoshop stuff, then you know the drill....gimme stock pics and gimme a reason to use them.....

Hey, if you can do all of that why haven't we gotten married yet?
That and more, my dear Queen of the Carnival. But there is a sliiiiight roadblock to that idea of yours: I am already married.
But if I wasn't, and we did connect, then your brother would get pissed, try to mess with me and kick my ass, I would have to pull one of those dirty cop fighting techniques on him, it would all fall apart, etc.
I miss this place.
Actually, I, and I don't know how many others feel this way, prefer the GoBots to Mittens.
You know what sucks? Last night I read the new Harry Potter book, then came here looking for the old RPG we had going (gosh it was silly) to start playing it again (maybe try to dig up an old copy of the Stargate Atlantis thing) and what do you know? Both gone.
-We should start one of those again. Nobody even comes to the RPG World forum that was made anymore. Doesn't anybody care? I made a new post! Please! Get back to where you once belonged! *weeps in lament of old friends drifting apart*

Slamshut had a bit of...trouble...around these parts a while back...which resulted in the whole bottom of this place falling out and a bunch of posters taking off, some permanently, for other places on the 'net.
We had to retire his Mr. Yuk avatar...

Sorry, I forgot to reply to this question...but since nobody answered it truthfully, I figured I better step in...
Spiderman1138, Patrick decided he was done with the bull that an internet message board always ends up being. He slapped a few of us around, mostly for fun, then submitted his resignation as grand poobah of the boards. He said he was going to go off in pursuit of a real life or some rot like that...but knowledgable sources told us otherwise, and, after much searching we discovered Mr. Sauriol alive and well on Broadway...along with Jacksparrow (Sparrowhawk from the CA boards) and Osirus (longtime Cinescape poster, one of the originals, in fact):

Seriously? I mean, I knew he had some run-ins, got somebody to follow him from another forum or something like that...
Gosh.
Oh well, too bad.

Ok, in all seriousness, I was curious what happened to him, I have not seen his by-line on Cinescape recently and thought maybe he became disenchanted with the onlone "life" and is in hibernation writing a kickass screenplay! :D
Om other news, you old school CA folks, watch for a post by me, and PLEASE take it seriously and think about it...
