Ruins of a Good Film

So the other day I was going through my DVDs when I decided to pull Highlander from the shelf and watch it again. Not the director's cut or anything like that, just the first cut of the film as it was when I first watched it back in '88. After watching the movie I felt a little saddened by how they ruined a perfectly great ending by turning this film into a franchise.

This leads me to my question: What films do you think were needlessly turned into franchises?

Jaws ! Maybe Jaws II was kind of OK, but 3 and 4 sucked arse big time.
