Hey,
So I read a lot of Star Wars books and stuff like that and every once and a while I really need to read a book about real people in the real world.

I am a big fan of Nick Hornby and I am looking for a book that is similar to his kind of books..the ones I like the most by him are High Fidelity and About a boy.
So basically I am looking for books like that.

Any suggestions?

This is a kind of off-the-wall suggestion, seeing as it's nonfiction, but if you like Nick Hornby's style of humor I'd suggest Round Ireland with a Fridge (http://www.amazon.com/Round-Ireland-Fridge-Tony-Hawks/dp/0312274920/sr=8-1/qid=1160057882/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-7286448-4872756?ie=UTF8&s=books) by Tony Hawks. It's about a guy who makes a drunken bet that he can hitchhike around Ireland carrying a fridge, and what happens when he tries to do it. It's quite amusing; I believe Hawks has written comedy for British radio and TV, so he knows how to tell a funny story. And how can you beat the title?
