Know any good gossip? Put it in this thread.

Try to distinguish between rumor and fact when posting in here, but everyone should be fair warned that the purpose of this thread is to discuss spoilers, so they will be fair game in here.

If you don't want to take the chance of spoiling yourself, then read no further than my message.

I probably won't be in here again unless needed. I'm staying as spoiler free as I possibly can this year. :)

Umm... I never search out spoilers and usually go out of my way to avoid them (so maybe I'm being hypocritical in posting one :) ), but I stumbled across this last night and I'm interested in knowing whether it's for real, and if so, if it's already known. Because it's news to me.

According to IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0502269/), Edward Norton will be guest starring as "John Bauer" in Day 5: 8pm-9pm.

So is this for real? Or just an IMDB screw-up / prank?

Well what happened in tonights episode was "news" to me(pissed me the hell off too) so I wouldn't be surprised if that is for real too and I just never heard it.

Thanks to EW's review, I knew someone was dying in the 6-7pm hour, but not who.

I don't know about Emperor Norton's rumor, but I did read in an interview that William DeVane will be returning for a couple episodes as Defense Secretary Heller.

And on a related note, this week's "Ask Ausiello" at tvguide.com had a question about the likelihood of Audrey being a traitor.

Ausiello replied with something to the effect of "I'd place odds at 90% that she's *not* a traitor. Her father though, I'm not so sure..."

Labeling that a rumor for now. Just something to chew on.

Well, as I said in the last episode discussion, it would make sense that whoever orchestrated the Palmer assassination to frame Jack would know about his relationship with Audrey, and thus set her up as well. Daddy being the real traitor, though? Sounds a bit far-fetched, even for these writers.

Daddy being a traitor is a bit odd, as I can't see how killing 200,000+ U.S. citizens helps the U.S. Heller was willing to die for his country last season, so I don't think he's a traitor, but I do think that it's possible that he would have gone along with Cummings.

What confounds me is that if the terrorists' plan all along was to get the gas to Moscow, how'd they have such an intricate Plan B all ready to be set in motion? And if they didn't, damn, their coordination is a bit too far fetched.

I mean, crap like they've got planned for Plan B alone would have had to have been in the works before Cummings was in his (late) position.

Yes! I had that same thought watching the last episode!
They're very much impressive with their attacks considering that the gas was "always" meant for Moscow.
I think that's another one of the plot holes in this show big enough to drive a Mack truck through that we're supposed to just ignore.

And y'know? It's still damned good television, so I'm content to do so.
