Warning - do NOT delete your cookies for this site.

I did, and this is what happened-

I no longer can view new smileys.
All the new nifty ones DarkJedi added? Nothing but boxes with red X's in them.

I no longer can change the forum colors of my choosing. There's no place to make that change at all.
Not at the bottom of the thread pages, and not within my User CP settings.
I'm stuck staring at the bland default page colors. Ick.

I really wish I hadn't cleared the cookies to my browser now.
The pages look a tad sucky.

:(

I did not clear my cookies.

I have x's for a lot of the smileys, My font is really, really small. I can change colors it looks like..

I don't like. Fix it back to the way it was.:romy:

Maybe we should have closed the threads and posting from all of you.

Guys and girls, the tech team is NOT done with the site's boards so please be patient. You will experience errors and certain stuff while they're in the process of uploading files and moving codes around.

I mentioned this in the thread above this one...

hey ODJ, I'm having some problems posting. Some of the smilies aren't here and I can't change colors. :D

O.K. O.K. Sorry. . . .I will go with the flow.

I don't want you mad at me.

I've heard this issue pop up for a couple of users at the comments section whereas alot of us don't experience this problem..

Maybe there is a code glitch somewhere...What browser are you currently using...(IE, Firefox, Opera, etc). It has something to do with a certain color component on a software on your computers that isn't in the line of code.

This teeny tiny lettering in the posting box makes my eyes hurt!

Also, does it seem to anyone else like navigating between threads is now a lot slower?

edit: At least READING the threads doesn't hurt now. Thanx, DJ!

I'm having this weird thing where when I go into a thread, and click on "see latest post" (or whatever it's called that takes you to the last posted item you haven't read) I get shunted back to the main forum page.

Very weird.

Oh, and I'm using Mozilla if that helps.

Thanks Eldarion, I'm asking the others too to see if it is indeed a apple or safari browser issue. Once everybody gives us symptoms, I can try and pinpoint it.

Negs, working on it...We got the text bigger in the post themselves..Thank the maker but I still need to check on the font size on the quick reply option or rather, I need to FIND the right code in there.

Daforce, are you talking about the "Last post" link that appears next to a multipage thread inside a forum or something else? I just tested a last post link for a thread in the Asylum and it took me to the last page so let me know if you're referring to a different feature or if it's working now for you anyway..

For everyone, I have someone looking into the whole smiley ordeal. Apparently, something in the pathway isn't letting me upload new smileys at the moment so it's going to be checked. When the software was upgraded, the default ones stayed working(default smileys come with every software ) but the uploaded ones bit the dust and didn't make the ftp transfer. Once the pathway is correct for uploading smileys, I will put them back up.

It's the 'view first unread' link on the bar at the top left (under the 'Post Reply' button) when you enter a thread. I found if there's only one page to the thread, and I click on the 'view first unread' link, I get shunted to the main forum page.

If there are two or more pages to a thread, clicking on that link just takes me to the first unread message in that thread.

Hope that clears things up.

Also, a different problem, I went to edit this post and it wouldn't let me. So I copied it and deleted it.

Checking it out now, Daforce.

And I've repaired the Edit quirk function so were good to go on Editing posts now. Now, to the latest post issue.

hate to add onto your to-do list, ODJ, but SPOILER tag isn't working anymore.

For me as well, the "View first unread" link of some threads - not all, but for example the "TOS: Season 2" thread on the Star Trek forum, and several ones in the Asylum - takes me back to the main forum page. At the moment, I'm using IE6 so, it probably isn't a browser issue.

And, FYI, it isn't only the short threads with just one page, that happened with longer threads as well.

The spoiler tag is now working, Omi....because of Monic's good quick fix it skills or because I waved some magical wand when I swinging a 5 Iron like Tiger today.

I'm still trying to figure out the "View first unread" issue...Working on it! Working on it!

Found the issue on the view first unread issue, Daforce and Rowanberry.

When we moved to the software upgrade last week, our database got switched to the cookie method of storage which is wildly inconsistent in Vb software since their old 3.0 softwares.

I've corrected the storage type for sessions and I believe this issue is now fixed.

I'm having a technical issue as well. Whenever I think of Kahlan, it becomes difficult for me to walk.

Nope, it's still happening (at least to me)....and now I've supposedly been thrown backwards in time, postwise at least, since it's marking all posts from 11/2/06 and on as unread.

:OhWell:

Weird.

Same here. I logged on and every forum had me going back and reading posts from at least 11/2, maybe as early as 10/27.

Same problem. But at least I can click the "last post" marker and scroll backwards, which makes it a little less annoying.

Same here. I just look at the time stamp and click last page.

Guys and gals, everyone should be having forums icons saying not read because I switched the database storage type to sessions. Since the database was on cookies system since last week, this will come up. Just do what I did last night when I did it and click "Forums Marked as Read" found on the main index and start from stratch, session wise. There's nothing I can do on that because it's not an issue at all, it's been switched on storage type to accomodate to the view first unread issue.
