She flips, she rolls, she bounces back from any injury! Discuss the cheerleader you can beat on all day long and never leave a mark here!

Well, we'll finally get to see how her invincibility stacks up against Sylar's powers (whatever those may be) and in the INSANE promo I saw last night, it looks like our little pompom waver gets it handed to her in more ways than one!

Claire just became my favorite character! Not only can she bounce back from punishment, she can give a little out too! I freaking cheered when she punched that bitch (who, by the way, I wanted to die as soon as she used the term "BFF"). I'm glad to hear her reveal the truth to her dad even though he already knows. Should make their relationshiip very strong. Sucks that HRG let Peter take the fall. :romy:

Yeah, but I can't imagine Claire is going to let Peter take the fall without doing something about it. She seems to be realizing she has the power to be her own person.

Maybe, and this is just out there, maybe HRG doesn't know about Peter's powers because it doesn't manifest itself overtly like everyone else's?
From what we have seen, he has to be either within 3 feet (as was the case with Isaac and Hiro) or touching someone in order to absorb their power (as was the case with Claire) so it is entirely possible that he slipped under HRG's radar.
I wonder if Claire will reveal that Peter has powers too? And as for Sylars...WHOA! :D
Me likee!

I wonder how long?
I wonder if Claire will reveal that Peter has powers too?I’m sure peter has already guessed what her powers are, since it seems that he is starting to understand his own.
I'm starting to like Claire. Becoming an outcast is helping her develop as a person. She’s starting to show some spunk and personality.

Did anyone else cheer when she laid the smackdown on Jackie?
I don't see her letting Peter taking the fall for her. All she really has to do is tell the truth, that he tried to save her and Jackie. Of course then it falls (no pun intended) to explain what he was doing there in the first place and hoiw he survived falling from the bleachers.

I’m sure Claire would want to help Peter. But would HRG allow her too? He obviously cares for Claire, but I don’t think he would lift a finger to help anyone else.

I just watched the episode, and I'm almost positive that he can only absorb it when the other person is near. After he and Sylar fell, he was pretty much dead/dying until Claire came near him and he kind of gasped and sat up.

But he was in contact with Claire before, and I think he absorbed some of her powers then. After HRG wrapped up Claire and spirited her away, he was still putting himelf back together, so I figure it lasts for a while. As for Sylar's powers, Peter may be able to use those buzz saw fingers to get through his cuffs...

When he was im the hospital he still had Isaac's drawing-prediction power (he drew a picture of his levitating with his brother) so I think it persists for several hours at least.

Yep, and he could still fix his other foot after Claire had left the scene. I remember talking to the tv last night..."Hey, fix yourself properly before telling her to run!"
But he fixed himself anyway.
Claire is probably the second favorite, close to my liking of Hiro, just for sheer abilities sake from her. She's pretty damn close to Wolverine and I can't wait to see more backstory on the events of what HRG says about her past and her parents he mentioned. I hope we get somebackstory on that one in the coming years because it will be interesting to see who and what her real parents were like...although, the flashback would have to be from HRG's perspective or involve Hiro going back way into the past(which is something I'm sure he's hesitant about doing)..

I just asked the same question a few minutes ago on another thread before deciding this would be a good place to ask. What if they didn't save the cheerleader? Claire makes sense because of her abilities, but still, the bitchy one was a cheerleader too. Sylar obviously wanted to kill Claire as well. I just hope it isn't Nathan. Sylar has kinda flown once when he escaped Parkman and the FBI woman.

Just an aside, here's some pictures of her at some award show.

Poor Claire. Just when it looks like everything is going to be fine she gets thrown for a freaking loop. Having her best friend blanked by her own father (when she figures that out there is gonna be hell to pay) is so freaking sad! I felt so damn bad her. And she may not even be able to help Peter? :( Poor Claire.

And let's not forget the appearance of The Haitian Man and the fact that he CAN speak...and his request that Claire remember everything...will she be able to fool her own duplicitous father long enough to do what neds to be done? I can't wait for Jan 22 now!

Well, they've set up a rift between Claire and her father, which should make it easier for her to decide to leave home and help the other heroes when she's needed.
Nothing like making her life more complicated, though. Poor kid.

Why? He's her father, for all intents and purposes, so of course he's protective...it doesn't seem creepy or obsessional to me...

I'm glad that they've re-united Claire and Zach...and I'm glad that he will sort of, be getting his memories back. The scenes they showed from next week, with Claire rediscovering her mom got me buzzing with anticipation...

I think Claire may be pushing it a bit too far. The wind chimes that she left in the window may have tipped off H.R.G. and he may be starting to realise the connection with The Haitian Man. It has been 3 weeks that Claire has been living the lie of being newly "erased" but we'll have to see how it develops.

I like the interactions between Claire and HRG, with both watching their words carefully while trying to judge just how much the other knows ... oh, and at the same time seem like real father and daughter. It makes for some tense moments.

After that preview I have this nagging suspicion that Lindermann is Claire's Papa.
Nice dress shirt (even if it was the sleeve), nice watch. Someone has money.
Just a hunch.

Well, we already knew he has a weakness for blondes, his lovely brunette wife notwithstanding ...
So now the question is, when will Nathan and/or Peter make this whole connection between lost child and the cheerleader Peter had to rescue?
I also wonder, judging by HRG's reaction before, when Claire insisted on seeing Peter Petrelli after he rescued her: does HRG even know who Claire's real father is? Cause if he did, wouldn't he have tried harder to keep him away?

That might have appeared suspicious...particularly when HRG could just have Claire's memory wiped afterwards.
Speaking of which, I'm curious about the effect that memory wiping has had on Claire's adoptive mother. Has she been wiped so many times that she has some form of Alzheimer's now?

I'm betting the constant mind-wiping is the cause of whatever deterioration she's now suffering, whether it's psychological or even neurological.

I'm sure it is - and what's so sad is that it seems like HRG really loves Claire's mother - but I can't imagine that there is anything left of the woman that he fell in love with. All of the mind swiping has made her so vapid, and now she's just gone batshit from it.

He perceives his mission, whatever that is, to be more important - more valuable than even his own family. We've seen that he truly loves Claire, but he believes that what is doing is for the greater good and if that means sacrificing part of his family to acheive that goal then he'll do it.

Could also be that he was unaware of the consequences. Not that I think that would have dissuaded him from using the Hatian's abilities if he felt it necessary, but I think he may have been more reluctant.

Yet another example of why people who mean well should be shot for the common good.
